First I'd like to compliment you Pojo, you did a terrific job on maintaining the site and is the best one I've seen by far. Now to the point... This is mainly a article for all you TCG beginners, so this article probably wont benefit Pokemon Masters and Experts. For the people with no TCG background at all- 1. When you're making a deck NEVER, repeat NEVER put more than three types in, even three is a little too much. 2. Always remember- Trainers win the game, so be careful not to cram your deck with Pokemon or energy- it's tempting but believe me with too many Pokemon in your deck the only way you'd win is if your deck has a very advanced strategy or if luck is on your side. Trainers are the deck's tools to distrupt your opponent and improve you. 3. Energy is the power of all your Pokemon. Without enough energy, your Pokemon are powerless. The energy you require depends on how many Pokemon you have, the more the more energy, the less the less energy but most decks should be in the 20-30 energy cards area. For the people who are looking for the right cards in their deck- 1. Bill and Professor Oak- Speed is essential to winning, Bills and Professor Oaks do just the thing. Every deck should have 4 Bills and at least 1 Prof Oak. 2. Energy Removal- Distruption and destruction of the opponent's Pokemon should be your main goal. Energy Removal slows your enemy's plans and sometimes in crucial moments totally foils their "unbeatable" master plan. 3. Potions- NOT a extremely important item but it is sometimes a life saver. These trainers give you a sometimes crucial life needed. For people beyond what this article explains- Make a one or two colored deck based on your idea(energy denial, etc) and use some simple guidelines, some here and constantly play test it with a variety of decks and tweak and tune it to perfection. If seeking further help just look around for this type of articles or send your deck to one of the deck garage mechanics. Pojo please post this, thanx for your time William Chou william_chou@hotmail.com _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web.
