Now that I have been to the major Pokémon events, and played all the Major local players, I feel I have a great knowlege of what card are hot and which are not. Just keep an open mind, and be subject to change. You can see how much I sucked if you look @ Tylers quick takes, 5/13/99 - Pokemon Deck. I ended up changing my deck more and more until what it is now. I won the only tournament at the first pokémon league appearence! Hopfully my deck and report will be up soon at the Killer decks. (Holy Cacaskahn) Here are the top 10 trainer in order Trainers- #1. Professor Oak - You CANNOT have an even DECENT deck w/out Oak. He will save you countless times. You need cards, so OAK! 2. Super/Reg. Energy Removal - Again, a must have for every deck. It stalls for so many occasions. Truly a great card. 3. Bill - Another must have, two free card, WHAT COULD GO WRONG? 4. Gust of wind - Just read the tounament report of Holy Cacaskahn in June and see how it save me. Its the easyest kill! 5. Plus Power - I haven't seen to many people talk about just how powerfull this card is. It is 100% suprize factor. The oppenant thinks you can't kill him next turn, but out comes plus power to save the day for you! 6. Scoop up - Many people have praised this card, but have yet to give it justice. It is, as I believe tyler said, "A Pokecenter and switch all in one card" 7. Item Finder - I have yet to see anyone praise this card. Until I went to my last tournament I thought it was junk also. But its not! You can bring back an Oak, or energy removal, or a plus power for the kill! It kicks major ass 8. Computer Search - Another Great card. If you hand sux, get an Oak, of Pokémon, or energy (if its an emergency!) 9. Pokécenter - Some kid I played had an extremly annoying power swap deck, and at one time took of 450 damage counters off of 4 chancys! 10. Pokémon Trader - This helps many deck that have evolution Now lets get down to what are the top ten Pokémon! 10. Pinser - a basic Pokémon that gets away with a clean 50 damage! Only problem is he requires 2 plant energy for his first attack. 9. Dragon Air - A stage 1 eveloution that has an automatic energy removal! Problem, STAGE 1 EVOLUTION. 8. Clefable - A stage 1 eveloution that has Metronome for 1 ENERGY! Same problem as Dragon Air. 7. Cacaskhan(kangaskhan) - FETCH for one energy! Comet punch not to bad of a move. A good choice for any deck. 6. Jynx - Meditate totally rocks. Besides being kinda slow for a haymaker, it still can woop many pokemon. 5. Chancy - The ultamite sponge. Either stall to win the game, or double edge for your lask prize, Chancy kicks ass! 4. Farfetched - You got to have a Farfetched like you got to have an Oak. He rocks. 3. Hitmonchan - I might upset a lot of people by having only at nuber 3. I just don't think he's the best anymore. He is ONE of the BEST cards though! 20-20-40! 2. Electabuzz - I find it easier to get 2 energy on him, and possibly do 40 damage by turn 2! He rules Pokémon, and isn't too hard to find! Now, for the #1 Pokémon, at this time present! #1. SCYTHER - No Retreat cost is probably why he got to the number 1. Swords Dance for 60 on turn 2! And for those pokémon you can't attack for one reason or another, Swords Dance again, and get them next time! I consider him a SUPER farfetched! He is now the best card w/out a doubt!
