Welcome back to the Jungle everyone! I hope you enjoyed your last trek through this pokemon infested Jungle, this time we will be seeing more of the Common type of Jungle pokemon. So read on... 25-PARASECT; I really see no purpose to this card or to his first stage Paras. Both have Spore for 2 grass which puts the opponent to sleep. And Parasect has Slash for 3 colorless that does 30 damage. But why not use Jigglypuff? She has the same attacks as Parasect except the sleep attack only costs one and for only 1 more colorless she can do pound for 20. 26-PERSIAN; This card is alright, it's not the best but it's pretty good. Just like Electrode it can Tackle for 2 colorless which does 20 damage. But the second attack is very nice. You can do Pounce for 3 colorless it does 30 damage plus Persian takes 10 less damage next turn, not bad, eh? 27-PRIMEAPE; Primeape is good but his weakling first stage makes it hard to get him out. His first attack lets you flip 2 coins it does 20 damage times the number of heads. His other attack is 2 FT one colorless energy and does 50. It has a setback though, you have to flip a coin if tails primeape is confused. 28-RAPIDASH; One of the best Jungle cards out there! For only 2 Fire and 1 colorless she can do Agility which if you flip a heads prevents all damage and effects to Rapidash! She also has an attack called Stomp for 2 colorless which does 20 damage and can do 30 if you flip a heads! And she retreats for free! DANG! 29-SEAKING; The only good side to this card is it's waterfall attack which does 30 for a water and colorless energy. Besides that, 70HP and an attack for one Water that does 10 is nothing to brag about. 30-TAUROS; A very nice basic. For 2 colorless it can do Stomp which is just like Rapidashs. Then for 1 colorless more it can do Rampage, it does 20 damage plus 10 damage for each damage counter on Tauros, but you have to flip a coin on a tails Tauros is confused. I wouldn't use Rampage until Tauros was nearly KO'd but I like Stomp. 31-Weepinbell; Yet another great grass card. For only one grass you can do Poisonpowder which does 10 and can poison the opponent. That's not much but for just one more Grass you can do Razor Leaf which does 30. Kewl 32-BELLSPROUT; Just about as bad as Goldeen. A 40HP pokemon that only has a 10 damage attack which costs one Grass. The only slight use I see to Bellsprout is to use it's other attack Call for Family which lets you search for another Bellsprout. So if you're in a tight situation you can get a Weepinbell out. 33-CUBONE; Pretty nice, although I don't like Rage or any attack like it. The only thing I like about those type of attacks is the ability to get a strong attack right before your pokemon faints. But a good thing about Cubone is his Snivel, it reduces the damage done to him next turn by 20. 34-EEVEE; I really like Eevee, like his older brothers he has quick attack. But it either does 10 damage or 30 damage depending on a coin flip. The thing I really like about him is Tail Wag if you flip a heads the defending pokemon can't attack! It's like a agility with no damage. 35-EXEGGCUTE; I think he's good for the early game. If the pokemon has only a 10 damage attack you can just save up for leach seed (it's just like Bulbasaurs). If it has a higher attack use Hypnosis which puts the opponent to sleep then use Leech Seed, cool huh? 36-GOLDEEN; This has to be the worst card in not only the Jungle expansion but the entire TCG set! It only has 40HP and can only do 10 damage (for 1 water). What's the point???? 37-JIGGLYPUFF; Another great basic. For 1 colorless it'll put the pokemon to sleep with Lullaby. Then save up for pound which costs 2 colorless and does 20. Very nice. 38-MANKEY; A very interesting card, as you may know it's power lets you look at the following: The top card of yours or your opponents Draw Pile, one of yours or your opponents prize card, or a random card from your opponents hand. This is a great card to have on the bench, as you can check out the opponents hand and prizes telling you what's in store for the next couple of turns. Downside is Mankey only has 30HP. 39-MEOWTH; This card is alright, but I think it's attack costs too much. For 2 colorless you can do Payday which does 10 damage and you flip a coin if heads draw a card. This can be useful in some situations but not many. 40-Nidoran (Female); This is yet another great card for Haymaker decks, for only 1 grass you can do fury swipes which lets you flip 3 coins it does 10 times the number of heads. You can also (for another Grass energy) search your deck for a male or female nidoran. 41-ODDISH; I always liked pokemon with possible paralyzing attacks. Especially when they are cheap attacks. Oddish has exactly that for one Grass you do 10 and can paralyze the opponent. 42-PARAS; Just like jiggly except 1 extra energy which has to be grass to use lullaby. 43-PIKACHU; The new Pikachu is awesome. For two lightning energy you can use Spark which does 20 damage and 10 damage to one of your opponents benched pokemon. So while he's pumping up his Chansey you keep doing 10 to it until it can use Double-Edge only once. 44-RHYHORN; Oh yeah, Rhyhorn is awesome read, for 1 colorless he can prevent the defending pokemon from attacking if you flip a heads. Use that while you're saving up for Horn Attack which does 30 for only 1 FT and 2 Colorless energy. My only problem with him is his Weakness to Grass which we will see alot more of now. 45-SPEAROW; The only advantage to this pokemon is it's Resistance to Fighting. It has an attack for 1 colorless that does 10 and Mirror Move for 3 colorless, but most of the time that Spearow would ever be out it will be against weaker pokemon so Mirror Move would be pretty much useless. 46-VENONAT; Another pokemon with a one grass possible paralyzing attack that does 10. Venonat also has Leech Life which does 10 and allows you to remove an amount of damage counters equal to the amount of damage done to the opponent. 47-POK'EBALL; The only trainer in the new expansion is sweet when teamed up with reliable finders. So if you flip a tails it won't be a big loss. But if you flip a heads it will be a huge gain. Well that's it, I think I missed one pokemon and i don't have the time to find which so I'll be going now. Be looking for the Jungle top 10 and cya! -Jared Schroeder>) E-mail:beano37@hotmail.com _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web.
