Okay, I'm getting sick and tired of people saying what cards should be in EVERY deck. Here's my thoughts on all of the cards that I've seen people suggest so far. Bill: Draw 2 cards. Well, at least three should be in every good deck. But there's the cheap Mulligan decks, yes. Prof. Oak: Discard your hand to draw 7 cards. Good card. But you won't see it in a Mullie. Farfetch'd: Quick damage Pokemon. Okay, it's decent. Scyther has 20 more life and no retreat cost, but that's a different topic. This card won't go in any self-respecting Raindance deck. In fact, it should probably be reserved for Haymaker decks, for which Electabuzz and Hitmonchan will work just as well (both are rare, though). Chansey: Damage-taker Pokemon. It's excellent at absorbing damage. But, come on. It's a staller, or maybe a suicide runner. I wouldn't put it in every deck. Energy Removal: Removes 1 energy. Good card, one I would put in Energy Removal decks. But what about quick damage decks? This card doesn't fit into all deck types. Gust of Wind: Switch your opponent's Pokemon. Good card for Haymakers and Energy Removals. If you're playing Raindance, then this won't help too much. Potion: Remove 2 damage counters from one of your Pokemon. Not if you're playing Alakazam. Doesn't quite fit in Raindance either. Actually, this doesn't fit into many major deck types. Maybe Haymaker. It's better than Super Potion. The only card that should be in literally EVERY deck is Energy. You simply can't win without it. Sorry if I'm being cynical or whatever; it's just the mood I'm in.
