There are many cards that are overlooked too much. The top 10 are:
1. Dragonair
2. Arcanine
3. Raticate
4. Haunter
5. Gust of Wind
6. Super Energy Removal
7. Energy Removal
8. Professor Oak
9. Ninetails
10. Kadabra (compared to Alakazam)

1. Dragonair- the most over looked card is Dragonair. Everyone either calls
Chansey or Farfetche'd (why Farfetche'd?) the king of colorless Pokémon.
Dragonair can easily destroy basically any Pokémon! Dragonair can be put in
any deck, has 80 HP, can easily be gained in a trade or booster, and with
Hyper Beam, not only does it do 20 Hp damage, but it also discards 1 Energy
card from the opponent everytime, guarenteed! That can be real annoying to
any great Pokémon. Also, Slam is a pretty decent attack with two coin flips,
30x # of heads.
2. Arcanine- Maybe the real king of fire Pokémon! It's Uncommon, so not hard
to find, and extremely powerful attacks for a Stage 1 Uncommon Pokémon. Okay,
so maybe the Charizard card is slightly better, but it's not hard to find an
Arcanine, you don't have to discard two energy cards to do his attack, and
you don't have to dig up two Pokémon to get him. No one really cares about
him because he's not rare!
3. Raticate- Hyper Fang is a lot more useful then some Pot Smash! Although
weird looking, and uncommon, Raticate can reduce any Pokémon's HP in half.
Try that to a Chansey or a Charizard!
4. Haunter- If you can attach 2 Psychic Energies to Haunter, he can be
unstoppable! Hypnosis automatically makes the defending Pokémon sleep. And
then if he stays asleep, you can use Dream eater, which takes off 50 HP.
Besides, even if they do wake on their next turn, they can't attack! It says
at the end of every turn to flip the coin, not beginning. The only way to
stop him is to remove energy, or use a trainer card to take it off (like so
many people use Full Heal in their decks).
5. Gust of Wind- No one uses this card because it's common, and doesn't sound
real good. The advantage of this card is, it's like Pidgey or Pidgeotto's
Whirlwind, except YOU get to choose what Pokémon to replace it with. If you
can find a Pokémon with a high retreat cost without any energies attached to
it (such as an Onix), you can easily beat it up and claim a prize.
6. Super Energy Removal- I've NEVER seen anyone use this card except me, and
it wins many battles for me. I recently found out this is the most valuable
Trainer Card, but still, it has no hype like a Charizard does! This can stop
any Pokémon flat in their tracks.
7. Energy Removal- Truth is, the card's not usually a choice in the first
decks people make, but once they get their butts whipped and that tournament
winners use this card, they think different. It still never gets in most
decks on the internet (instead they inclde those 4 Charizards everyone seems
to have...).
8. Professor Oak- Professor Oak isn't real popular, but he really is a great
card! How many times do you have a hand that reeks real bad and you wish you
could replace it? I think it's better then the Imposter Professor Oak,
because it's nearly impossible to determine what cards your opponent has
(unless you use a Japanese Mankey or something).
9. Ninetails- Ninetails is actually a lot like Charizard if you think about.
Okay, so she's not,but she's only a Stage 1 Pokémon, and has a powerful Fire
Blast. It takes off 80 and you only have to discard one energy. No one ever
uses Ninetails in battle, and don't know why.
10. Alakazam over Kadabra- Everyone thinks that Alakazam is so much better
then kadabra, but he's really not. Alakazam only has 20 more HP, has a
Pokémon Power I could do without (Damage Swap) and attack only takes away 30
HP. Kadabra has recover to keep it going for a while, and Super Psy which is
50 HP off. Kadabra is really the better Pokémon.
