First of all, you must know if somone is trying to rip you off. For this you must know a few
 simple rules:
   
1. A 1st stage pokemon is worth 1 pokemon, a 2nd stage pokemon is worth 2 pokemon and so on.

2. Don't judge how good pokemon are by the way they look.

3. Be sure to protect all halographic cards.

4. Make sure to trade high level pokemon for another high level, or for any number of cards ( don't go over four).

5. Oh yeah, if you can find someone that dosen't know how to properly trade cards you can have a chance to rip them off ! ha ha ha!

6. Judge your trade by looking at the pokemon's HP, Moves, Weakness, Level, and what Evolution they are on.

7. If you have a chance to trade for a rare, high level or halographic card trade because this may be your lucky day.( unless you have to give a better card for the one he/she has).
