Here are some Jungle Decks that I foresee and some all around tips: A good card for some decks will be Mankey. His PokePower lets you look at the top card of any deck, any card in your opponents hand, and any goal card, once per turn. Only draw back is 30 HP. We might see Marowak in some Haymaker decks. His PokePower lets you grab a fighting Pokemon (basic) from your deck and put it on your bench. And Bonemerang is decent. 2 coin flips at 30 a piece. A staple for almost any Fire deck will be the Ponyta/Rapidash family. For 2 colorless does 20 and 10 more on a heads, and it has an Agility attack for 2 Fire one other and if heads prevents damage AND effects. For no other reason than to be weird, someone will go Nidoqueen/ Nidoking in order to do Nidoqueen's Love Love Attack?--20 damage + 20 for each Nidoking on the bench--a possible 80 damage. A staple for almost any Grass deck will be Oddish, Gloom, and Vileplume. Oddish and Gloom have status effects out the bunghole and Vileplume also rox. Venonat and Venomoth will also be a good Grass family. On a heads Venomoth Poisons and Confuses plus does 10 damage. At last, a good counter for Haymaker decks. Scyther with a resist Fighting of 30, 70 HP and 30 damage per turn. Some moron is going to do an Evee family deck with Jolteon, Flareon and Vaporeon. What good will this accomplish...I don't know. Every one of them have Quick attack 10 + 20 if heads. And most of the other attacks suck, save Flamethrower. I guarantee that we will see some idiot with an "improved" Mewtwo mulligan deck with Mr. Mime. Another deck with Mr. Mime is throwing him in an Alakazam deck. Mr. Mime won't die. His PokePower resists all damage 30 and greater. Paired with Alakazam's damage removal and it will be practically impossible to win. Pidgeot will finally make the Pidgey family worthwhile. If his Hurricane does not kill the defending Pokemon, it and all cards attached go to the opponents hands. Bye Bye Charizard! Bye Bye Blastoise! Doduo and Dodrio become useful now with Dodrio's PokePower. While on the bench all Pokemon retreat for one less. I'd buy that for a dollar! Kangaskhan lets you draw a card with one colorless and has 90 HP--paired with a Pokedex you just might draw that one card you need. For 4 colorless you flip 4 coins at 20 a piece. Not to shabby eh! "I'll call you mini-me." My only gripe about this new set is that all but one of the colorless Pokemon are weak to Fighting (Dodrio), and Haymaker decks are springing up everywhere. My other gripe is the trainer--flip a coin and IF heads then you get a Pokemon from your deck--thanks but I'll take trader and CompuSearches any day. I hope that I brought forth some deck ideas. (Jungle has been delayed 'till July--damn WotC). Josh mjosh@hotmail.com _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web. Visit http://www.msn.com
