Hey pojo- at first I was really pissed about this recent 
turn of events, cuz I was planning on driving down to Atlanta 
with a few of my friends to participate, my friend's dad 
taking us. Then we found out about the age limit thing. 
Now for all of you people that are a little older, have 
passed puberty, are mature- here ya go.

   WoTC knows that alot of us older people have been 
playing cards longer, and will know how to play better 
and will blow out the younger players of pokemon. So 
they restricted ages- I personally think they should 
have different age DIVISIONS, like in Magic. But they 
figured that us older players have played Magic, thus 
are very good, thus will destroy the little dudes. Also 
we will typically have a little more money to spend, 
seeing as we need it more to go to the mall =)... and 
we can get more packs and cards to make much better decks.
   I don't entirely agree with this, but it sounds alright. 
I myself do play Magic a little bit, but I would trade a 
Multani, Maro-Sorcerer for 3 booster packs on the spot 
(Who WOULDN'T?!?!). I couldn't care less about what happens 
to my magic cards, but I still play the game because it is 
fun to do on boring summer nights, when I just feel like 
going to my local card shop and playing cards.
    
So there's your reason, pissed off older guys like 
myself. I e-mailed Wizards already, telling them that 
they're hypocrites (They say on their site that Pokemon 
is for EVERYONE, although they're already restricting us...).
