Pokemon deck: The (Almost) Mono-Green Created by Bryan Howland This deck was born in the Green Room at Anime Central '99. The (A)MG was created from an Overgrowth preconstruct and some of my plant singles I've got floating around. The breakdown is below: Plant: Beedrill (Stage 2 Evolution), Level 32 x1 Bulbasaur, Level 13 x3 Ivysaur (Stage 1 Evolution), Level 20 x2 Kakuna (Stage 1 Evolution), Level 23 x2 Nidoran (Male), Level 20 x3 Nidorino (Stage 1 Evolution), Level 25 x2 Tangela, Level 8 x3 Vensaur (Stage 2 Evolution), Level 67 x1 Weedle, Level 12 x3 Plant Energy x22 Water: Staryu, Level 15 x2 Water Energy x4 Trainer: Bill x2 Defender x2 Energy Removal x1 Gust of Wind x2 Plus Power x1 Pokedex x1 Potion x2 Super Potion x1 The (Almost) Mono-Green is built for general play. The (A)MG was kinda built along the lines of the overgrowth preconstructed deck, using costantly evolving pokemon to get the job done. In this case, the use of Weedle/Kakuna/Beedrill and Bulba/Ivy/Vensaur groups and the addition of Nidoran/Nidorino. The Tangela are included for delaying tactics (Paralize & Poison are wonderful things). The reason the Staryu and the Water Energy are included (and what gives the deck it's name) is to make sure I had enough energy to support the deck and also gives the deck a slight advantage aginst fire decks. The trainers in the deck currently support the general play of the deck. The only changes I would want to make to this deck would be to add a Nidoking, lose the water elements and get a few Pokemon Traders, another Plus Power, and maybe a Professor Oak into the deck.
