So, you wanna know what in the Jungle ... eh? Well The PoJo is gonna tell you! The Jungle will consist of 64 new cards. 16 will be rare, and get this ... the holos will just be rarer versions of the rare pokemon, which is different than the basic set. Weird!? The Jungle is full of Pokemon, and just one new Trainer card ... and that is: Pokeball (common) - "Flip a coin. If heads, you may search your deck for any Basic Pokemon or Evolution card. Show that card to your opponent, then put it in your hand. Shuffle your deck afterward." I'm not sure, but this might be a 4 in every deck type card. Kinda like a Tutor in Magic the Gathering. What Pokemon are there? Well, here is a taste: Nidoran F, Nidorina, and Nidoqueen who has an attack called "Boyfriends!" When her big hunk Daddies (Nidokings) are in play .. she does 20 more damage for each one in play. Kinda funny. Rhyhorn, and Rhydon, both fighting Pokemon with 70 and 100 hp. Wow Rhyhorn is a basic with 70 HP .. that's pretty impressive. Rhydon has a Ram attack that does 50 damage ... and makes the opponent switch the active pokemon with a benched one .. that can change the game. And 100 HP to boot, for a Stage 1. I think we'll be seeing plenty of Rhydon soon. Mankey . - Has Peek Power that lets you look at either players top card. Hmmm Eevee - colorless basic pokemon with 50 HP, but can become Flareon (fire), Jolteon (Lightning), Vaporeon (water) ... All with 70 HP (except vaporeon is at 80HP). All 4 of these Pokemon have Quick Attack, their second attacks vary. All the evolved forms are rare. Lickitung - uncommon - Basic colorless, with 90 HP that has tongue wrap for one colorless that does 10 damage, and a coin flip to paralyze - all for one colorless! 2 colorless will let you flip a coin to confuse the defender. Kangaskhan (rare)- Basic colorless with 90 HP. Check this out! For 1 colorless you can FETCH (draw a card). Hmmm ... A good stalling Pokemon that fills your hand until you let him croak .. I like it (that's two cards per turn w/o a trainer). Comet punch for 4 - Flip 4 coins. Does 20 damage times the number of heads. Geez .. with this dude you can literally due 80 damage on turn 2! Tauros - Basic Colorless - with 60 HP. 2 colorless - Stomp ... Heads 30 damage, Tales 20 Damage. Hmm ... kinda like a stronger Farfetched? Attack 2 - Rampage for 3 colorless. 20 damage plus 10 more for each damage counter on him. That's 70 damage when you have 5 hit counters on him. Downfall ... flip a coin after attack, and if tails your own Tauros is confused. By the way, Have you ever visited www.thepojo.com ... What a cool website! Cubone & Marowak - C&U. 40HP & 60 HP ... Fighting Pokemon. Marowak has a boomerang attack that for FtFt does 30 damage times the number of heads flipped in two coins. Also, his second attack is "Call for friend", for FtFtC, that lets you search your deck for a Fighting Basic Pokemon and put it directly on the bench. Search deck cards always have an impact on games. Oddish, Gloom & Vileplume - 50, 60, and 80 HP. Vileplume's Pokemon Power lets you flip a coin once during your turn to remove a damage counter from one of your Pokemon. My hands are getting tired, but there are also ... Goldeen, Seaking, Venonat, Venomoth, Bellsprout, Weepinbell, Vectreebel, Paras, Parasect, Exeggcute, Exeggutor, Spearow, Fearow, Jigglypuff, Wigglytuff, Meowth & Persian. There are two new preconstructed decks as well ... Water Blast - a fighting water deck (with Meowth & Rhyhorn), and Power Reserve - a grass/psychic deck (Nidorina, Weepinbell, Gloom) At this early point in the Pokemon TCG, even this small amount of cards will provide a much-needed shot in the arm. When new cards come out, the cream of the crop rises above the cream of the crap! The deck makers can create cool stuff, and kick some serious @$$ before everyone else has a chance to copy their decks. This window is only about 2 months long, but it certainly is a great 2 months. - The PoJo
