Keith,
     First of all, do you really think you can run Gyarados and Poliwrath on 
8 water energy?  No, you can't.  You need to take out water completely.  It 
won't work for 3 colors.  Second, with only 8 of each type of energy, you 
shouldn't evolve any pokemon except for maybe Electrode, and even then I 
wouldn't use him.  	Evolutions are bad unless you're playing a 
Rain-Dance.  They're slow, they need a lot of energy, and most of them are 
expensive.  Stick to Basics!!!!!!  Especially in a 3 color deck-you won't 
have the energy or the time to evolve them.  If your'e going to play 3 
colors, I would play this:

4 Hitmonchan
1 Onix

4 Electabuzz


4 Jynx

3 Farfetch'd-The super Bad dude of Pokemon
2 Chansey

8 Fighting Energy
8 Electric Energy
7 Psychic Energy
4 Double Colorless Energy

4 Energy Removal
1 Super Energy Removal
3 Professor Oak
4 Bill
2 Scoop-Up
1 Energy Retrieval
