Dear pojo, (please put this as a strategy article because most of these cards haven't come out yet, and more people read strategy articles then killer decks. Also, obviously I don't have a tourny report) I believe that this deck will rule all of pokemon cards in the near future. I am not saying that this exact deck will rule, but a deck of these pokemon will be a sure win against any other type of deck. I don't think that my deck is the best it can get because I just thought of this like an hour ago, so don't get all mad if there are mistakes =). The reason that this type of deck will be so good is because of its speed. You don't have to evolve any pokemon except one, which the basic that will be needed to evolve will still be a good one. Before I confuse you, here is the deck. ENERGY 25 grass 4 double colorless POKEMON 4 scyther 4 pinsir 4 kangaskhan 4 clefairy 3 clefable TRAINERS 2 prof. oak 4 bills 4 energy removals 2 super energy removals 60 cards First of all, the reason that this deck will be so good is becaus all of the grass basics can directly do 50, 60, or even 80 damage in one move. They also have high hp (except for clefairy, but when it evolves into clefable, it will have 80 hp.) To show what I mean, here are the cards: I GOT THESE FROM THE POKEGYM. THIS IS A GREAT SIGHT. YOU CAN FIND IT UNDER THE LINKS SECTION ON THIS PAGE. for energy, the numbers count as the ammount of double colorless needed, and the letters stand for types of energy. G= grass Pokemon No.: 123 Type: Grass Evolution: Basic Name: Scyther Level: 25 HP: 70 Weakness: Fire Resistance: Fighting -30 Retreat Cost: 0 Attacks:[G] Swords Dance () Next turn, this Scyther's Slash does twice damage. [3] Slash (30) Pokemon No.: 127 Type: Grass Evolution: Basic Name: Pinsir Level: 24 HP: 60 Weakness: Fire Resistance: None Retreat Cost: 1 Attacks:[GG] Vicegrip (20) Flip coin. If heads, then defender is paralyzed. [2GG] Guillotine (50) Pokemon No.: 115 Type: Colorless Evolution: Basic Name: Kangaskhan Level: 40 HP: 90 Weakness: Fighting Resistance: Psychic -30 Retreat Cost: 3 Attacks:[1] Send Kid () Draw 1 card. [4] Comet Punch (20x) Flip 4 coins. Kangaskhan does 20 damage times number of heads. I think that everybody knows just about what clefairy can do. It has 40 hp and can use metranome, which can copy any attack from the defending pokemon, and use it, without the energy cost, or having to discard an energy. The problem with this was that it took, I think, 3 energies to do this, which wasn't enough time to power him up because he would be dead by the time you actually powered him up due to his low hp. Pokemon No.: 36 Type: Colorless Evolution: Stage 1 - from Clefairy Name: Clefable Level: 34 HP: 70 Weakness: Fighting Resistance: Psychic -30 Retreat Cost: 2 Attacks: [1] Metronome () Choose one of defender's attacks. Metronome copies that attack except for its Energy costs and anything else required in order to use that attack, such as discarding energy cards. (No matter what type the defender is, Clefable's type is still colorless) [2] Minimize () Next turn, this card suffers 20 damage less. (Other effects still happen) CLEFABLE is good because it has a high hp, which gives it time to do some real damage, and metronome only costs one double colorless. That will take no time to power up. If you were against a charizard, you could do fire spin with one energy. This pokemon should be in every deck when the jungle expansion comes out. SCYTHER is also very good. First you put on a grass energy and use swords dance, then you put on a double colorless energy and use slash. That is most likely a one hit KO because it does 60 damage. The reason that it will be a one hit KO is because it is a basic, and if you get it out at the beginning of the game, 60 damage is usually a one hit KO for any basic pokemon. Please keep in mind that almost all of these pokemon are basic. Don't say that your charizard can do 100 and that these pokemon are weak. You won't even be able to evolve your charmander into a charizard once these cards are through with it. Also, scyther has 70 hp, meaning that it won't die out for a while. PINSIR is good because first of all, you can do a 50 damage attack direclty without having to wait a turn like scyther. Also, if you are fighting somebody like charizard or Blastois, you can use vicegrip to do some damage and also try to stop them from using their powerful attacks which will kill you. Vicegrip can stall a charizard until you get a clefable and use charizards attack against him. This strategy may not work, but most likely your opponent won't have time to evolve because your pokemon will kill his in one hit. Pinsir also has a reasonable 60 hp which means that is not a weakling. KANGASKHAN is also a great pokemon. This pokemon is so good because it has 80 hp. It can stall a little, and it can also let you draw a card or do up to 80 damage. Most of the time you won't be able to pull 80, but on average you can do 40, and maybe you could get lucky some times and do 60 or 80. The double colorless energies will come in handy because each of these pokemon need some colorless energy to do their attacks, and this will make them use their attacks quicker because colorless counts as 2 energies, and it doesn't take up the energy for your turn. Bill and prof. oak can help you get pokemon and energies. Energy removal and super energy removal can stall for a while if you don't have any energies. It can also stop the opponent from evolving and powering up their pokemon. I believe that this type of deck will rule the game.
