Name: T. Sagona Email: Beastiez69@aol.com I just looked over the killer decks for April, and most of them were pretty bad =P. For example: 2x Poliwag, 2x Poliwhirl. That's a 1:1 ratio which is horrible for evolutions. For evolutions, you NEED to go at least 2:1, it makes a huge difference in the way a deck plays. Another deck I just looked at, used 19 Trainors (seems to be a bit much), 16 Pokemon, and 22 energy. 19 Trainors are too much for a 60 card deck( which is always the case because decks MUST be 60 cards =/), and 22 energy, which is not enough. In all the successful decks I have seen, they run at least 25 energy, sometimes closer to 30. Basically because you must have energy to win. Lastly, just about every Pokemon deck needs to run at least 3 Bill and 1 Professor Oak. Card advantage = good. The chances are very poor that you will be decked before someone draws all 6 prizes. All in all, about 75% of the killer decks that I looked at (all for April) are not killer decks at all. I don't see how they could win, unless you are playing in a scrub filled environment. T
