Fun Alterations on standard pokemon rules By: J. Paul Where I live, we have a network of pokemon "gyms" and an entire leuge set up. Each Gym Has its own rules. Theese are some of the funner and more sensible ones. "Standard" varied rules: Same as normal rules, except for a couple things. You can use only 3 trainers per turn (this really helps our games go faster) You can use any attack of any evolution of the pokemon (There are of course exceptions like Magnemite's Selfdestruct and magikarp's Flail) and you can use more than four double colorless energys. "Street war" rules: These are really jacked up rules. You play with 100 card decks and 10 prizes. You can use as many trainers in your deck as you want, not just 4. You can have 10 benched pokemon and 5 active ones. You can lay down one energy card per turn per pokemon. Each pokemon can attack once per turn on any other pokemon. You draw 12 cards at the beginning and 3 cards per turn. Some fun variations on this are decks with more cards and more prizes. Fun to do on a rainy day (of course I live in the desert...) Realism rules: Theese rules are kinda fun, but mostly just strange. You have 45 card decks with no basic pokemon. You pick 6 basic pokemon that you want, make one of them active and keep on battling standerd rules until your done. Some individual rules: You can use any of these rules in conjuntion with any of these other rules sets Porygon attack: Porygon can attak from the bench once per turn (I hate this rule, just to tell you) Power to bulbasaur: Once bulbasaur has done leech seed; every other turn the seeded pokemon looses 10 hp and bulbasaur gains 10 hp until bulbasaur is killed or retreats or the opponent retreats. Well thats all for now! JPAULWETZ@AOL.com
