Most people overlook Koffing when they make a Grass deck, as I did. The reason that most people overlook him is: His attack only does 10 damage and requires two GRASS energy to use. Most people will also think "What are the chances of my Koffing killing my opponents Pokemon before they can deal 50 damage on him?" The fact with Koffing is that: He either Poisons or Confuses! That doesn't make that Coin Toss chancy anymore, does it? The role of Koffing is to get your opponents Pokémon to kill itself! Lets start with Poison on a Pokemon with 50 HP. Koffing Deals 10 Damage. The Pokemon takes another 10 Damage (since Poison deals 10 Damage after EVERY player's turn) The Pokemon attacks (Unless this is a Charmander, Magmar or Ponyta [for Basic Pokemon] you won't die) The Pokemon takes another 10 Damage (down do 20) Koffing deals 10. The Pokemon dies. Now Confusion (on the same Pokemon): Koffing Deals 10 Damage The Pokemon is confused The Pokemon tries to attack or does nothing (most people do the second option until they get a Switch or a Full Heal) If he tries to attack, there is a good chance he'll do 20 on himself (against a Psychic Pokemon Confusion rocks, as it does 40 to itself!) If the Pokemon is a Psychic, it dies. If not, it has 20 HP left. Koffing Does another 10, if you poison the pokemon, good! It's dead. If not, you kill it next turn, or it kills itself. So as you can see, Koffing is an Excellent, though extremely overlooked Card. Whenever I tell my friends that I have four Koffings in my deck, they start saying I'm crazy. But who's crazy when they lose because of a Koffing? ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
