Hey Pojo.  Thanks in advance for posting this article.

Ever since the release of Fossil, so many water decks have appeared.  I went
to a tourney recently and I played against at least 3 water decks out of 8
total matches!  Now that's scary!  Almost half of all decks are water now!
This has caused me to conclude that:

Fire is Risky.

I'm not saying that fire's a BAD type.  It's just that it's so risky nowadays
because of the number of water decks.  However, the best way to solve this is
NOT have a mono-fire deck.  If you use a mono-fire deck, chances are you'll
lose at least once in your next tourney.

This is similar to the deal when Jungle came out.  Grass decks seemed to be
everywhere!  That is why I figured I could do good with a fire deck, because
of all of those grass decks!

Well, now things have changed.  Since the release of Fossil and all of these
water decks, I decided to add electric to my deck, because of all of those
water Pokemon!  This shows that a key to winning is to know your environment
when playing the Pokemon TCG.  Don't get me wrong.  I'm not saying "DON'T USE
FIRE CAUSE IT SUCKS."  I'm saying "If you have a fire deck, be sure to make it
have two colors now."  I prefer the fire/electric combo w/ Magmar, Electabuzz,
and Scyther.  That means that if I send out Magmar and my opponent sends out
Lapras, I would be able to retreat Magmar for one energy and send out 'Buzz to
whoop that Lapras.

In the Pokemon TCG world, it is good to know your environment.  If Psychic
decks are popular in your area, and you have a fighting deck, try to add some
colorless Pokemon that have a resistance to Psychic.  If Fighting is popular
in your area, and your deck is electric, add some Scythers or Farfetch'ds to
your deck.
