Hi!!! this is Srinivas Rao and I just wanted to talk about how to play well at tournements, friends house's, or even casual play. first of all, there are 3 main points for you to be a good player.

1. deck building - this is the easiest of the three. to make a good deck you must:
a. have a theme. don't just throw pokemon together. Beatdown is not a theme!!!
b. support the theme. trainers and pokemon should do this. but don't focus everything on it.
c. have good basics. your theme isn;t going to help without them!!!
d.  don't have any single cards.
e. cover your weaknesses. 'nuff said there.
f. if you have room, metagame a raindance or haymaker.

2. Playing - this is the hardest of them all. here goes nothing:
a. be smart. don't attach energy to dying pokemon. retreat if you need to. just try to stay at an advantage.
b. watch your deck. don't deck yourself.
c. if yoc can't attack, stall.
d. have a plan. try to figure out what your opponent will do and know what to do to counter it.
e. stay at an advantage. know what your opponents deck is and try to metagame it. your active pokemon always should have an advantage to the defending opponent, not a disadvantage.
f. prepare mentally for tourneys. test yourself on what you would do in any particular situation. thing of it as a mid-term or something. Study!!!

3. Trickery - This is almost a contreversial topic. what I mean is:
a. suprise your opponent. don't sit there, telling him your every move. play both those E.R. at the same time. gust of wind that powered up pokemon and deal with it. keep that in mind.
b. lure out those E.R. and S.E.R. so he can't use them on you're good pokemon.
c. your opponent should always be puzzled at what you are doing. look wierd, try to freak out your opponent.
d. make him or her think your deck is good. real good. just to make him lose hope.
e. keep a good atitude. don't cry. if you keep steady mentaly, your opponent will freak and thing you are planning something.
f.(optional) trick your opponent!!! Yell, "where is my clefairy doll? i could win the game with it right now. say your deck is a stall deck, even though it isn't!!! you get the idea.

Well that is it. these three combined will make your games go really well. that is really it. Please post this Pojo!!!
