A Pokemon's Pokemon Power doesn't work if it is asleep, CONFUSED or
paralyzed. So if Mr. Mime  is giving you problems use a pokemon like koffing
or vulpix that can confuse your opponent (koffing is my favorite because if
it doesn't become confused, it will be poisoned).If your opponent uses a
Charizard and doesn't train fire-type pokemon, making Charizard confused
keeps it from using Energy Burn, and thus keeping it from attacking. If your
opponent uses Aerodactly don't worry, Gust of Wind it so it becomes the
active pokemon, bring koffing out, and confuse it. Wala, you can now
evolve. You see where I'm going with this? If you are trapped under a
pokemon's power confusion will save the day.
