Ok, this article is actually telling why a single card strategy I hear
so much about in chatrooms and elsewhere won't work.  Some people think
that you can use erekiddo's pokemon power Naughty Punch and attack at
the same time.  They are wrong!  Lets look at erekiddo's power:

Naughty Punch: Once during your turn, you may flip a coin.  If heads,
this power does 20 damage to your opponent's active pokemon.  Anyway,
after you use this power, your turn ends now.  This power may not be
used if erekiddo's asleed, confused, or paralyzed.

Now to tell you why it can't be done.  Like other card games, there are
phases of gameplay. There are 4 in pokemon:

1. Draw a card

2. In any order: evolve pokemon in play
attach one energy (used once)
retreat
pokemon powers
put basic pokemon on bench
play trainer cards

3. Attack with your active pokemon and consider the factors of the
attack (energy, weak./res.), put counters on the defending pokemon, and
take a prize if it is knocked out.

4. End of the turn.

The naughty punch power is used in phase 2 of gameplay, while attacking
is done in phase 3.  Factually, you can't do two things at the same time
that are in different phases of gameplay.  After you use naughty punch,
your turn is over and you can't attack.  Thanks for reading this
acticle.

P.S.  PoJo, your site rocks!
