*ding ding!*
SATOSHI: Well, Blind Sk8tr4(sp?), you see no downside to Charizard? Here's a
few.
===THE DOWNSIDES TO CHARIZARD===
1-Energy Cost
Seems like we've done this before...Charizard does 100 for 4 of any type of
ENERGY, but HAS TO DISCARD TWO ENERGY CARDS AFTERWARD.

2-Weakness
Hmmm...120 hp, huh? Nice...oh, wait. Not so nice. Sure, it's the highest so
far, but what about weakness? Hmm...lemme get my fully charged base set
Blastoise....And all you smart aleks that are saying "but Blastoise can be
taken out by a Haymaker just as easy!! What about Electabuzz?" Here's the
thing. Blastoise can take out Charizard in one attack. Electabuzz will neeed
two attacks. See my point? Now, base set Electrode....

3-Price
Hmmm...yes. That is one of the probs. We don't want to spend 50+ for a
piece of pretty cardboard.

4-Deck Usability
I've put him in a deck before...don't know about everyone else...HE
STINKS.(IMO!! IMO!!!) Too much time is wasted powering him up, only to throw
two energies away.

...Again, people, while he is not the worst, I do not believe that he
deserves to be anywhere NEAR the top ten.
I think I've figured out why he costs so much, too. Remember back when the
card game came out? Yeah, thought you all did. Well, we were all just coming
to realize that the game is just as much a strategy game as a fighting game.
Those first few pulled their Charizards from their booster packs, saw the
120 hp and 100 damage attack, and said "heck!! I ain't parting with this
baby!!" Thus, very few Charizards ever made it to store displays. When this
kind of stuff happenes, the card appears to be rare, and thus its price(and
popualrity) skyrocket.
Guess that's all for now! Good Luck and Happy Gaming!!
