Mulitple Card Comobs- Clefable/ Gust of Wind

If you play with a colorless deck, chances are you'll have cards like
Chansey, Kangaskhan and the Jigglypuff Evolution Line. One of the less
common colorless card sets you'll see, however, is the Clefairy Evolution
line (well, at least I don't see many of them). Clefairy's 40 HP makes him a
weak contender, and is a little bit of an energy-hog. At least it's cute.
And the fact that it's a Holo makes it a collectible. On the other hand,
Clefable (from the Jungle Set) is a great fighter. It's easy on the energy,
and it's 70 HP is much improved over Clefairy's 40 HP.
But what is so meaningful about this Evo line is the Metronome attack.
It has the ablility to copy an opponent's attack, ignoring energy costs.
This has very great potential. But Clefairy's Metronome takes too much
energy to power up, considering it only has 40 HP. That's why it's best to
power it up on the bench while you toss out a wall, or something. But in the
long run it's not worth it. That's why you EVOLVE.
Clefable (the evolved form of Clefariy) only takes ONE energy to power
up the mighty Metronome. This can kill. But there's a problem. Your opponent
might be smart enough to send out whimps like Slowpoke to stop Clefable dead
in it's tracks. This is where the basic trainer Gust of Wind comes into
play.
When you use Gust of Wind, you get to choose an opponent's pokémon on
their bench to be sent out. So at the beginning of your turn, you throw out
Gust of Wind, Bring in your opponent's Charizard, and BAM! Clefable blows
him away with a Metronomed Fire Spin (Clefary can do this too, but it's
risky).
Of course, the Clefable/GoW combo has it's disadvantages. If your
playing a loser deck with nothing but Pidgey and Dratini and Goldeen, your
going to be in for a LONG game. You'll be slamming each other with - geat
ready for this - 10 damage each turn, only to be set back two turns by a
measly potion.
So in short, Clefable and Gust of Wind can be a deadly combo, but stay
away from Clefairy. If your not careful, you might find yourself in a deadly
plauge of digletts. That's why evolution is so important here, and why it's
not the Clefairy/GoW combo. You also have to watch out for loser decks, like
the infamous Mullie- Mew deck. Their only atack- Psychic, is a whimpy attack
(compared to the GB games' Psychic). So steer your clefable away from those
decks.
