ICK!  Why do these card comparisons get constantly
more and more horrible as time passes?  Aren't the
efforts of myself, Satoshi, and the Whether Man enough
to heckle you guys into oblivion?

How many times does it have to be said?  POINT SYSTEMS
DON'T WORK!

I'm going to dissect this article, as yet another
example of articles that don't make sense.  While I
don't feature all of it here, the entire thing is just
horrid; however, not every single paragraph has
horrible flaws…

>Allright, for their first attacks. Scythers aint too
good, because hardly
>anyone uses Grass, so i would give it a 1.5. Zapdos,
however, gets ready
>for his next attack AND does 20 for 1 energy. That
deserves a 5.

Now, what you're basically saying is that since
Scyther is a grass Pokemon that CAN be used in
non-grass decks, but usually isn't due to his
versatility, he LOSES favor?  WHY?  This TR Zapdos
MUST go in a lightning deck.  Scyther can go in any
deck, but he becomes even better in a grass deck!

>Now, for the Second attack. Scythers does 30 on turn
2, but that requires a
>Double C, so it is not that reliable, but Zapdos
takes 4 energy and does 30
>or 40 to himself, BUT he can get the enrgy pretty
fast with Computer
>seach..Scyther gets 3.5, and Zapdos gets 3.

You can't attach a number to this.  Also, I find it
funny that it's less reliable to try to get one DCE
than to try to get a Computer Search and Three
lightning energy.

>Now for Weakness and Resistance. Scyhter gets 1
point, but Zapdos gets 3
>because of no Weakness.

Again with the bloody numbers!  Zapdos gets two extra
points for not having a weakness? Scyther has a free
retreat, and can duck out of the blasts of a surfacing
fire pokemon (and don't scream "Gust of Wind!" in
Zapdos's favor, because I'll scream "Energy Removal!"
in Zapdos's favor, because he has to pay energy to
retreat).  Zapdos, on the other hand, can't run from
HIS OWN DAMAGE without defenders!  Also, one point
that never surfaces is that some fighting Pokemon have
resistance to Lightning, while the one pokemon that
can resist grass is PORYGON!

>Now for Retreat. Scyther gets a boost here.

And not near enough of one, I might add.  I'll admit
this is opinion, which is why point systems do not
work.  I would much rather have a free retreat than
lack of a weakness, but you value both equally.

>And finnaly, for cost:

The freaking rarity piece!  RARITY DOES NOT AFFECT THE
VALUE OF A CARD!

>And that that. Scyther is NOT the king anymore.

I could dispute that Scyther ever was "the king", but
instead I'll dispute that your little numbers don't
mean a thing.  You cannot attach a number to a card
because all advantages and disadvantages differ in
importance to different players…otherwise, everyone
would use the same deck.
