Hey pojo! My name is Rocketz2.And I'd first like
to say your site rules! Now to get to biz. Have you seen the new Arcanine
card?
he can do a hundred damage for 2 fire
energies. For those of you who don't know Arcanine stats, here's a quick run
down:
70 HP - 1st attack = Quick
Attack for 2 colorless, does 10 damage plus 20 more if you flip heads -
2nd attack = Flames of Rage for 2 fire , does 40 damage plus 10 more for
each damage counter on Arcanine, however, you have to discard 2 fire energies
in order to use the second attack - retreat cost: 1 colorless -
weakness: water
This guy can do just as much damage as Charizard
but you gotta love that retreat cost. And he only gets better as he
takes on damage. He is also a stage one evolution, so you don't
have to wait as long and hope for the right cards to put him into play.
The only bummer is his lower HP, but you have to admit the promo is definitely
an improvement over the original. This one will definitely see some
playing time. I experimented with this card in a new fire deck I made
and he performed quite well against a Haymaker. You could say it was quite
a blast!
There are a few downfalls to this card but he will
work. This concludes my session. I think there will certainly
be more Arcanine fans with this new addition to the family.
