hey all,
Al here, the mistress of forgotten pokemon.
Dark Alakazam is probably not forgotten, just too new to be talked about
too much.
Well, here's the spoon-bending pokemons stats:

Dark Alakazam (name, duh)
60 hp (the lowest, but it makes up for the attacks)
stage 2 evolves from dark kadabra (well, you know)
(PPC) Teleport blast: You may switch Dark Alakazam with 1 of you benched
pokemon. (Do the damage before switching the pokemon.)
(PPP) Mind shock: Don't apply weakness and resistance for this attack
(Any other effects that would happen after applying weakness and
resistance still happen.)
Weakness: psychic
resistant: nothing
retreat (CCC)

Hmm.... Pretty good, but it has its bad points, too, like every
pokemon. lets start with the bads:

Bad:
1 60 hp, the lowest for a stage 2, but you can have a base alakazam in
the deck to move the damage to a less feeble pokemon, like chansey.
2. 3 energy retreat, well this is bad, but the teleport blast will get
it out of harms way without it getting rid of all that energy.
3. weak to psy, but resist to nothing; ick, but there are a bunch of psy
pokemon like that, so not too much too worry about.

Good:
1 switch that does damage: teleport blast can get it out of the way and
do some damage before it gets whooped.
2. Mind shock does not apply weakness and resist for the attack, so you
can kill a wigglytuff in 2 turns if you are playing against one in a
tourney and your deck is a mono psi.
3. pretty low attack costs for a stage 2, even though there is lower, at
least its best attack doesnt take 4 psy energy.

Well, this pokemon could work ok in some decks, but can also stink up
the place, so you want to think carefully about the kind of decks used
in your area. if it's ruled by mimes and mewtwos, keep this one in the
binder, but if you are swamped with fighting or plant, put this guy in
the spotlight!

Heres a few strategies to use with this pokemon:

                                                        Chansey stall
deck:
                                                        ick, the
opponent puts out a chansey, and you are playing a mono psy, you think
this match will never end with its resistance, but you are saved with
dark alakazam(sort of) you use mind 3 times and chanseys dead, but just
hope it doesnt double edge, which it probably won't after you mind blast
twice, which would knock it out.

                        Another mono psy:
most of the opponents pokemon are going to be weak to psy,  but the few
who aren't  (because the opponent will mostly have a few psi resist
pokemon in the deck to make up for the weakness) use mind shock every
time and they will be whimpering in you shadow.

Heres a few trainers to use in a dark kazam deck:

potion (the hp won't last long without help)
super potion (ditto)
ERl (try to get rid of the opponents energy before they can attack and
diminish its already low hp)
SER (ditto)
GOW (get that weakened pokemon out there for the kill)
scoop up (save it before it dies if all else fails)
breeder (skip right to kazam)

Thats all I have to say about that (sound familiar?)
It's pretty late, I'd make a deck for alakazam, but I'm tired right now,
so I will next time.
well, bye and look for my articles later, if you like them
