King Cobra- Hi! Today we have an article on a card I was hoping to use in my
deck, but when I got it, I thought twice and decided not to use it. Arbok,
please present the card.

Arbok- OK, today's article is on..........Dark Vileplume!

King Cobra- Let's take a look at its stats.

Dark Vileplume
Type- Grass
HP- 60 (for a stage 2 evolution? Man, this is bad)
Weakness- Fighting (it should be fire, but Wizards made an error. Maybe
they'll fix it, but I doubt it)
Resistance- None (too bad)
Retreat Cost- 2 Colorless (not too bad)

Pokemon Power: Hay Fever
No trainer cards can be played. This power stops working while Dark Vileplume
is asleep, confused, or paralyzed.

What I think
King Cobra- Well, this is a nice power, but I can't imagine a game without
Bills and Prof. Oaks. He can't be Gust of Wind bait, but Muk will total him.
I personally wouldn't use it, but some people will find it nice.

Attack: Petal Whirlwind for three grass energies
Flip 3 coins. This attack does 30 damage times the number of heads. It you
get to of more heads, Dark Vileplume is now confused.

What I think
Arbok- This attack is a lot like the Jungle Vileplume's attack, only less
damage, and you don't always get confused. It focuses on coin flips (which
the King Cobra and I hate) so we don't love this attack. In other words, skip
it.

King Cobra- Overall, this isn't a phenomenal new Pokemon, though I would love
to see a deck that uses this guy and survives without trainers. Email me if
you found a deck like this that wins.
