Hey Pojomaniacs!

I was responding to an article I saw in Single Card Strategies, comparibng
the four mews. You should probably read it.
http://www.pojo.com/SingleCards/June2000/21f.htm .  He talks about Lilypad
Mew being the best, and says some things I disagree with.  I will list a few
reasons why Lilypad Mew is not the best mew(read his article for
translations.

~He says that his PokePower wrecks Blastoise and Rain Dance decks along with
any deck that relies on evolutions.  Pretty much EVERY deck should have a
Haymade Pokemon.  Rain Dance have Articuno and possibly Scyther, while Damage
swap have Chanseys(which really take it apart with resistance), Mr. Mimes,
and (should have) Movie promo Mewtwo.  You give me a common deck archetype,
I'll give you a Pokemon that should be included.

~He also says that his attack is good.  Ok, it's good for an ABRA, but a Mew?
It is very VERY slow!  If the Defending Pokemon isn't evolved,  it can kill
Mew easily!  If it is evolved, then 10 a turn will not get youy anywhere
while he/she powers up a Pokemon on the bench to have batting practice with
Mew!

~He says it stalls very well!  I wonder what happens when you play a Muk
deck!?    It turns Mew into an Abra-punching bag with more HP and higher
retreat cost!  Also, the power only stops damage (correct me if I'm wrong)!
Status effects which can stop the power or do damage to Mew still work!

I happen to not like any of the Mews, and I could sit here bashing them for
awhile but then I'd get an awful lot of hatemail.  I think that Wizards
shjould make an all powerful Mew!  Considering Mew is arguably one of (if not
the)the most powerful Pokemon there is, Here's my ides for what a great Mew
would be like.

~No retreat, he can learn teleport in game boy.

~HP around 60.

~Poke Power that states: Once during your turn (before your attack) you may
use this power.  Choose one Pokemon in your opponents play area.  Flip a
coin, if heads, Mew now becomes that exact card, copying everything on that
card but anything that has to do with energy no becomes any energy. {[Just
like Ditto]}  This power lasts until the end of your opponents next turn.

~Strong colorless attack that does damage to opponents bench also!

~Standard Psy weakness and resistance.

Ok , that was fun.
