Hi
  My opinion is that articuno is better than charizard because to do
damage with charizard you have to hope you get him  and the two people
before him. Now with articuno who is a basic pokemon you can do damage a
lot quicker than charizard.
Also his attack freeze dry can do 30 damage (60 to charizard) and
possible paralyze
(good by charizard because you can do it to him twice to charizard.
