Hello, Pokemon Trainers!
So, you want to learn about the MSB Movie Promo Electabuzz, eh? Yeah, I
thought so. Let’s start off with Electabuzz’s stats…

STATS:
Name: Movie Promo Electabuzz
Basic Pokemon
HP: 60
Type: Electric
Weakness: Fighting (Awww…He’s gonna get slaughtered by Hitmonchan!)
Resistance: None (Too, bad)
Retreat Cost: 2 colorless (It’s a bit high)

ATTACKS:
L: Lightscreen – Whenever an attack does damage to Electabuzz (after
applying weakness and resistance) during your opponent’s next turn, that
attack only does half the damage to Electabuzz (rounded down to the nearest
10). Any other affects still happen.
CC: Quick Attack – Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 10 damage plus 20
more damage; if tails, this attack does 10 damage.

WHAT’S GOOD ABOUT HIM?
- Electabuzz is practically all colorless! The only attack that requires one
measly electric is Light Screen.
- Quick attack will do 10-30 damage (not bad!)
- Light screen is a good defending attack, as you charge him up for Quick
Attack.
- Will kill water Pokemon in one attack or two
- He can be put in almost any deck! His Quick Attack only requires two
colorless!
- HP is okay. Nothing to brag about, but at least he won’t knock out (KO) in
one attack.
- Stick him into a fire deck. If a Wartortle/Squirtle/Blastoise is picking
on your Magmar, just pull him out knock that opponent out! Your opponent
will be really surprised! Remember, they’ve got a weakness against Electric.
Hehe.

WHAT’S BAD ABOUT HIM?
- He’s got a weakness against Fighting Pokemon. Hitmonchan will knock him
out with one “Special Punch.” You’d better be fighting a Raindance deck, not
Haymaker!
- Light Screen can only hold for so long….
- Retreat Cost is a little high, don’t you think?
- He’s hard to get. You can’t obtain him from any Booster Pack, so you’d
better have some kind ‘n giving friends who’d let you borrow theirs if you
don’t have your own.

TIP TO THE POKEMON MASTER-IN-TRAINING:
Electabuzz is NOT a stalling card! I repeat, Electabuzz was not made for
stalling! Although the may have light screen, it can only hold up for a few
turns. In fact, Electabuzz is another speed card. You put him in for some
damage dealing! Once he does his damage, let him get KO’d. It’s not worth it
to pay that high bench cost. Just let him fight to the end!
Note: If you’re fighting a Hitmonchan, or another fighting deck, do not
bring him out. He’ll get KO’d in one attack. Maybe you should just keep ‘em
in your hand in that scenario…That’s a good idea.

DRUMROLL, PLEASE!
So, our decision is that Promo Electabuzz is actually a good card. Although
he may be a bit tough to get, just remember that you can buy them online,
get ‘em from friends, or send in your MSB movie ticket stub for a card, or
two!
Just put him on your deck and attack with your active Pokemon. The next
turn, simply bring ‘em out into battle, as you retreat the active Pokemon
in. Then you can add one energy to him, and blast off!

Well, thanks for reading about the Promo Electabuzz card! We hope that
you’ll look into adding him to your deck, as well!
