Nick McIntosh (Mcbud)
Top Ten Cards

#10- Poliwhirl- Okay, so most of the time, Poliwhirl isn't in your deck.  Saving room for Blastoise, eh?  I can't find any use for him.  So, what can kill Charizard in one attack?  Poliwhirl, duh.  He's not a holographic rare (particularly 37 bucks), and he's pretty easy to find.  His other attack, Amnesia, may not look all that great, but trust me- when you're exchanging blows with a 1- grass Gloom with 30 damage on it,  the thing evolves, and you only have 2 water energies, this attack is your best friend.
#9- Vaporeon- Eeveelution!  I love this guy- high HP, decent attacks, but unfortunately, rarer than crap.  Personally, as with all Eeveelutions, it needs a little variety on it's first attack, hmmm.. I think an attack called Mist, which would be sorta like Eevee's Tail Wag would be appropriate.  His other attack, Water Gun, is pretty unique and cool- Sure, it can't beat the lungs out of Charizard, but it can sure do a lot to an Arcanine/ Ninetails.
#8- Gengar- Another hard to get card, but it's worth every penny you spend.  GREAT Pokemon Power, decent attack, and some pretty high HP.  The only bad thing I have to say about this is that it is 2nd stage in evolution.  It goes great in any bench destruction deck, with it's awesome Power and Attack.  If played right, on the bench, it will work well with a fossil Raichu/ Zapdos.  All in all, it's a great card.
#7- Chansey- Of course, the almighty Chansey who can't be defeated.  The ultimate sponge.  It has 120 HP, which is really good for soaking damage, and works well in an Alakazam deck.  If it loses all of its high absorbency, it it has the ultimate Suicide attack- go up there, Double Edge, and use the Pokemon you've been charging on the bench.  It should be used in Wall decks, because of his good HP.  It also has a damage preventing attack- Man, I love this guy!
#6- Ditto- An exact copy of your enemy?  Yeah!  Imagine the enemy being a Ninetales... hmm, put a couple Double Colorless on him and BAM!  Can you see the look of surprise and horror on the Ninetales' face?  HA!  The only setback is- What if they have a d--- Gastly, Majikarp, or Porygon?  Ouch...  You might want to reserve a couple pluspowers in your deck while using him, and he's again, rarer than crap.
#5- Ninetales- Gotta love Ninetales.  This guy has the deadly Lure, which works like a Gust of Wind to bring up that completely non-energized Charizard and Fire Blast- ooh, I love this guy!  He also has Fire Blast- discard only one energy in order to deal 80 damage- which isn't at all bad, considering how many Pokemon could be finished in one hit by this guy!  He also has a TON of HP, at 80 life.
#4- Lapras- Here's something new.  Lapras is sweet, with a good hefty 80 HP, and some decent attacks.  However, the best thing about Lapras is he's so energy effecient- he has good attacks, for only a fraction of the usual energy you pay for the attacks.  He can Confuse, which is my second fav. attack effect.  He can also dish out 30 dmaage, which is pretty good against Fire Pokemon.
#3- Poliwrath- Oh man, I love Poliwrath.  He can do up to 50 damage, like Vaporeon, but he's so much better.  90 HP?  Hello! wake up!  He, and his Whirlpool, are almighty- it can deal out some serious pain to anybody who isn't killed instantly by it.  It removes energy, and does 40 damage.  It is really good for taking out Fire Pokemon, and Charizard is useless against Whirlpool- two hits, he's dead, and so is his energy.
#2- Flareon- The best of the Eeveelutions, and for a reason.  He may not have high HP, but his attacks are phenomenal.  He can kill almost any Grass pokemon in one hit, with his 60- damage Flamethrower.  He can also do 30 damage with Quick Attack- now those Eeveelutions need a bit of variety, don't they?  Hiow about... Fireball for Flareon (does 30 damage)  Flareon is also noted in many other top 5 fire lists I've seen other than this.

And finally, the Number- One Pokemon,

#1- Scyther!- Gotta love Scyther!  Swords Dance will power you up, and then, with an all- powerful Double Colorless Energy,  adding to the 3- Colorless total for Slash, dish out 60 damage.  Also, if Scyther is seriously damaged, there's nothing stopping him from retreating- with free retreat cost.  Also, he shuts Hitmonchan down- he has a resistance of fighting.  Scyther is a Jungle Rare- R/holo that is actually the most common Rare in the Jungle.  He has 70 HP- beefy for a Mantis.  I think every Haymaker should reserve a spot for Scyther.  He can fit into any deck!

Now, the 5 worst Pokemon in existance...

#5- Farfetch'd- So sue me.  But, I don't think Farfetch'd cuts it for a Haymaker- yeah, so it can do 30 damage on the first turn.  SO?  It can only do that attack once, and it might fail!  Also, it's usually dead before it can use it's almighty Pot Smash- with a lousy 50 HP, It'll be Scyther or Ninetales dung in seconds, so really, Farfetch'd isn't at all great.
#4- Charizard- This is even more pathetic.  So it has 120 HP and can deal 100 damage.  Big Whoop!  I know a 60 HP card who can completely get in Charizards way, and it isn't even Rare!  Also, any Super Energy Removal is deadly to the big Dragon, I mean, c'mon.  Charizard isn't a very good card!  He's also rarer than crap.
#3- Porygon- Uh, very few uses for this dude- he has a crappy 30 HP, and deals no damage whatsoever.  He an change weaknesses, though, and that is slightly useful, but geez, he's uncommon.  He should be common, like the crap he belongs with.  He sucks.
#2- Squirtle/Seel- Wow! A tie!  Gosh, Macho evolution for such bad basics.  Squirtle is the queen of horrible, as he has NO fighting chance, even against any fire type Pokemon!  Diglett's so much better, and look at Diglett- suck card.  Seel, the king, has nice HP, but... HE SUCKS!  He can't do ANYTHING!  And if you think he's gonna miraculously save you, forget it.  What? So he does 10 damage?  Like that's going to affect anything.

And here it is, the worst card in existance...
#1- GASTLY(base set)- Ugh, Gastly is pitiful.  He can put you to sleep, yeah, so?  25% chance that he's gonna go poof, and a switch would help.  And then, there's Destiny Bond.  What a joke.  So he discarded his energy.  Hmm, let's see here... Growlithe does 20 damage, whoops!  You discarded an energy for no reason.  Now isn't that pathetic?
