I admit I do submit a great deal of critiques of other people's articles for someone who rarely writes one of his own.  I'll working one some articles right now, so I hope to remedy that.  In the mean time, I'd like to (AGAIN) critique a Single Card Tip article.

This time, we take a look a Mr. Zach Dube's *cough* informative *snicker* comparison of Scyther, Electabuzz, and Hitmonchan.  After I finished reading this article, I was left with one question on my mind: Is Zach Dube really a Pseudonym for Drew Carrey, host of "Who's Line Is It Anyway?"  Apparently "Zach" comes from the same school of thought as Drew, because as they always announce on the show "Who's Line Is It Anyway?," the points don't matter.  Like Drew, Zach just randomly assigns points in response to the *giggle* criteria he set up to make a *longer snicker* judgement, only in Zach's case it is about which card is *short, quick laugh* better that the other two.

Let's look at Zach's criteria.

HP
Using HP as a judgement is valid.  HP are one of the major factors in the game of Pokémon, and I can see assigning points based on that.

Speed
This is also a *grin* valid *snicker* judge...*laughing so hard I fall out of my chair, roll down the hall, hyperventilate, and have to be rushed to the emergency room* I CAN'T DO IT, I JUST CAN'T DO IT!  Let's face it, this is just his opinion.  The points he assign make no difference anyway!  He just randomly decides to give them TWO points instead of just one!  Why?  NO ONE KNOWS!  THE POINTS HAVE NO MEANING!

Retreat Cost
*snicker* Sorry, still trying to stop laughing after that last point.  Retreat cost is very important, and Scyther does indeed have a 0 retreat cost.  However, why does this warrant a 2 point award?  *Giggle* THIS IS SO RANDOM!

Weakness
*mad, maniacal laughter* WHAT THE ?!?!??!?!??!??!?!?!?!??!  There are exactly 25 Fighting Type Cards,  16 Fire, and 19 Psychic (excluding Promo Cards) in the US.  But let's think about this for a minute...  How many of those fighting cards are never used?  7 fighting cards are actually used regularly in the game playing scene--the Machop-Machoke-Machamp family, Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan, Geodude-Graveler-Golem (and only because they are Fossil and therefore NEW),  and Aerodactyl (and how often does he actually fight?).  As for fire, Ponyta (as Metagame), Charmander-Charmeleon-Charizard, Growlithe-Arcanine, and both varieties of Magmar are regularly used--for a total of 8.  Psychic?  There's Mr. Mine, Abra-Kadabra-Alakazam, Fossil Gastly-Fossil Haunter-Gengar, Jynx, Promo Mewtwo, Promo Mew, and regular Mewtwo that are actually used in play.  That makes a total of 11 Psychic cards that are actually seen.  Let's face it, the numbers are so close it doesn't matter.  *clears throat*  But that isn't my argument.  My problem with this the weird assigning of a point each to Scyther and Hitmonchan.  I mean really, show some consistency!

Resistance
The fact that only Scyther has a resistance makes him a guarantee to win the points in this one.  Resistance is actually a valid argument, a point that few people take into consideration when building decks.

Now for "Zach"'s totals:
Hitmonchan   4
Electabuzz   4
Scyther   7

If we go back and make each "win" worth equal points instead of the random "Some For 1 and Some For 2" philosophy, we get:
Hitmonchan   3
Electabuzz   3
Scyther   5

The outcome is still the same.  Even with my manipulation of his numbers, "Zach" still reaches the same conclusion.  Why?  BECAUSE HE HAS NO LOGIC!  I'm not writing this to voice my opinion on which of these cards is better.  Frankly, I don't care.  I just want to show you all that the reasoning behind these multicard comparisons makes little to no sense.
