Hey Pojo, I'm writing this article to help try to clear up confusion
between which is the better card, Dewgong or Gyrados. First, let's take
a look at the stats:

          Dewgong:                      Gyrados:                Winner:
Stage 1- evolves from Seel  Stage 1- evolves from Magikarp      Dewgong

This one is easy. Magikarp could be called worst card in the game, while
Seel is so-so.

        Dewgong:             Gyrados:          Winner:
         80 HP                100 HP           Gyrados

20 more HP can be invaluable at times when facing a Chansey, Arcanine,
etc.

      Dewgong:            Gyrados:            Winner:
WWC-Auoroa Beam-50   WWW-Dragon Rage-50       Dewgong

The energy difference really doen't matter in mono-water decks, but can
be critical in two-type decks.

          Dewgong:           Gyrados:                 Winner:
WWCC-Ice Beam-30-flip a  WWWW-Bubblebeam-40-flip a      TIE
coin, heads, paralyis    coin, heads, paralyis

Although Gyrados does more damage, Dewgong is MUCH easier to charge up.

        Dewgong:              Gyrados:            Winner:
Weakness: Electric        Weakness: Grass         Gyrados

No electric weakness makes Gyrados much more favorable in a Raindance.

        Dewgong:              Gyrados:            Winner:
Resistance: None        Resistance: Fighting      Gyrados

This is the point where Gyrados makes up for having such a bad basic.
Resistance to what is arguably the most common type is impeccable.

        Dewgong:             Gyrados:              Winner:
Reatreat Cost: CCC     Retreat Cost: CCC             TIE

Not much to say.

        Dewgong:             Gyrados:              Winner:
        Uncommon        Rare Holographic           Dewgong

Nice advantage of the Big Seal. He's about 15 times easier to get.

Final Results:

Wins For Dewgong:3   Wins For Gyrados:3      Ties:2

A   TIE!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry people, but there is just no way to put one over the other. Until
one is proven better ust this rule of thumb: Mono deck(Raindance)- Use
Gyrados, Multicolor deck- Use Dewgong. Thanks for reading!!
