Dear PoJo, This is my first letter,so please try to post it.
Im always getting tired of everyone bad-mouthing Magneton (fossil). I
admit that Magneton (bacic) is weak, but in my experiances
Magneton (fossil) rocks! I won my first tornament with a deck based arround
Magneton (fossil). So here is my strategy for efective use of Magneton
(fossil). Start out with magnemite on your bench, if possable, and attach an
energy to him. Next turn attach another energy to Magnemite, and evolve him
(DO NOT MAKE MAGNETON YOUR ACTIVE POKEMON YET). 3rd turn attach another
energy to Magneton. 4th turn attach another energy to Magneton. Now he is
ready for battle, so send him on out. Use Sonicboom and dont stop until he is
ready to faint. Now use Selfdestruct ( I suggest you use Pokemon Center in
your deck to erase the damage to your benched Pokemon). He can on an average
be able to do arround 240 damage to a full bench (5 Pokemon times 20 damage
each=100 damage!) +
at least 2 Sonicbooms (20+20=40 damage + 100 damage = 140 damage), + ( 140
damage + 100 damage to the active Pokemon=240 damage!!!!). Sure it knocks him
out but he was gonna get knocked out anyway, so why not do maximum damage to
your opponent before he hits the discard pile? In my opinon Magneton is a
fearsome Pokemon that not many players think about to counter attack.
Eventually I think Magneton can and will become a force in the game because
most players dont think of him as a fearsome Pokemon, but maybe they should.

Ill try to help!
