Charizard, is he a great awsome force? No. Does he suck? No. Is
he among the below average-okay category? Yes. When some people rate him they
compare the number of pros to the number of cons. That won't work AT ALL. The
speed holds him back more than "holofoil intimidation" or
"coolness factor" or "you can trade with a kid for a lot of
cards." I admit he is quite good if you pit him in a turbo deck, but what
happens when you face a mime stall deck? Or an Areo-Pidgeot deck? Or a Muk
deck when you rely on double colorless or Charizard-Venusaur? Or raindance?
There are just too many metagame decks with the power to shut down charizard.
It isn't a great card in the tourny seen, but if you are facing a friend who
doesn't use one of the above decks, and you want to try something new go for a
turbo-charizard.
