THE COMPARISON OF THE BIG 3, USING MY RATING SYSTEM (as posted in the Single
Card Strategies)

Note: If you haven't read my rating system, it should be near the bottom of
the Single Card Strategies page, posted February 1st.

Blastoise:
HP: 4/5 - Blastoise is Stage 2 and has 100 HP
Attacks and PP: 5/5 - His Raindance and Hydropump are amazing. They
compliment each other perfectly, resulting in big damage. His Raindance also
helps his teammates.
Retreat:1/5 - Retreat cost of 3.
Speed:4/5 - His Raindance allows you to load on energy, and making a zero to
a hero in an instant. His attacks range from using 3 to 5 energy. Fast for a
Stage 2.
Versatility:3/5 - Has no resistant, water-not that good, weakness to grass.
ouch. However, excellent benchwarmer.

HP: 4x4
Attacks: 5x6
Retreat: 1x3
Speed: 4x4
Versatility: 3x3
TOTAL:74 - 7.4/10.0

Charizard:
HP: 5/5 -  120 HP
Attacks and PP: 2/5 - Charizard: Only one attack. It requires 4 energy
discards 2. You can only do it once in about 2 turns. 100 damage in 2
turns=50 damage a turn. However, that one attack paired with a Gust of Wind
makes it more useful. But, not only it is crappy, but it eats up his energy.
His Pokemon Power is somewhat useful in multi color decks, but does not
account for his horrible attack.
Retreat: 1/5 - Retreat cost of 3.
Speed: 0/5 - The king of slowness. The textbook definiton of slow. He is as
slow as molasses.
Versatility: 3/5 - He is a fire pokemon (bad). He has a resistance to
fighting, which is very useful, especially when he has 120HP. Big trouble
for Fighting.  He can use any type of energy. He makes his teammates
seriously weaker, by hogging the energy.

HP: 5x4
Attacks: 2x6
Retreat: 1x3
Speed: 0x4
Versatility: 3x3
TOTAL:44 - 4.4/10.0

Venusaur
HP:4/5 - 100 HP
Attacks and PP: He has a mediocre attack that does adequate damage, but it
requires 4 Grass energy. It is almost required that you play a grass based
deck. His pokemon power is very useful. Your pokemon share grass energy, and
that will make your energy usage more efficient
Retreat: 1/5 - Retreat cost of 3.
Speed: 2/5 - His one attack requires 4 Grass Energies which is very slow.
However, his Energy Trans can make that attack come sooner than you think.
Versatility: 4/5 - Weakness to fire, which is better than most weaknesses.
No resistance. Grass Pokemon. His Energy Trans makes him one of the best
benchwarmers. It causes all of his teammates to be faster. He can also
attack for big damage if needed.

HP: 4x4
Attacks: 3x6
Retreat: 1x3
Speed: 2x4
Versatility: 4x3
TOTAL:67 - 6.7/10.0

Recap.
1st: Blastoise: 7.4/10.0
2nd: Venusaur: 6.7/10.0
3rd: Charizard: 4.4/10.0

Note: These scores are not based on a Best=10 Worst=0 basis. This is only
based on the system, and is only used to compare cards with each other. The
scores may seem low, but the highest scoring pokemon (Scyther) is only an
8.1.
