Ok, lets compare to great cards mainly used in the Raindance Decks.

Comparison of HP
Gyarados has a beefy 100HP for being a Stage 1 card. While Vaporeon has a
mere 80HP. Now all of you people just can't go on a rampage saying that
Gyarados is better because of his HP. That is only a little factor in the
Game of Pokemon. Look at Mr.Mime then Look at Kangaskhan. Mr.Mime is a
completely better staller and attacker in my opinion. Lower HP Pokemon can be
better then Higher HP Pokemon. Ok Back to the Comparison of Gyarados and
Vaporeon. They are both Stage 1 Pokemon so that is good. It won't take long
to evolve them. Gyarados wins the HP bout.

Comparison of Attacks
Remember they are both Stage 1 Pokemon. So, for the attacks, for once it
doesn't matter about what stage they are. Because they are the same stage.
Gyarados is Beefy! He can do 50 Damage for three water Energies, he also has
BubbleBeam for 40 which has a 50% chance of Paralyzing your opponent.
Of course, if you are running Gyarados in a Raindance Deck, he will be built
up pretty quick. Now, for Vaporeon. He has Water Gun for Two Water Energy and
One Colorless,  it can do up to 50 Damage if you attach two more Water
Energy. So, it would be like attaching up to 4 Water Energies and One
Colorless or 5 Water Energy, to do 50 Damage. He also has Quick Attack a move
that can do up to 30 Damage, if you Flip Heads. If you attach a DCE, you
could do Quick Attack on Turn 1.  Overall I Think Gyarados wins this bout. He
is just too good. A solid attacker and a beefy amount of HP!

Comparison of Weakness, Resistance, and Retreat Cost
Ok Now for the last part... Gyarados has a weakness of Grass, while
Vaporeon's is Lightning. With all the Grass Decks running around Gyarados has
a better chance of getting hit harder than Vaporeon. Although, it could be
close with all the Electabuzz running around in today's Decks. Now for There
resistance. Gyarados has a Resistance to Fighting, While Vaporeon does have a
resistance. So Gyarados Definitely Wins the Resistance part of this bout.
Now, on to the Retreat Costs.. Gyarados has a Retreat of Three, While
Vaporeon has a Retreat of one, that is excellent. Vaporeon wins this match
Two to One!

Overall, Gyarados is a better Water Pokemon Choice than Vaporeon. Especially
if you are going to use him in a Raindance deck.  Well, for all you Poké Fans
out there good luck in your future Poké Matches. Wait, for my next report on
Fossil Raichu Vs. Fossil Zapdos, if you need help. Well, for Now Im signing
off, Cya's!
