Yup, Electric_Myu's back with a Single Card Strategy.

Today I'm talking about... Gengar.
Curse is a highly under rated pokemon power. It lets
you move a damage counter from your opponent's pokemon
onto another pokemon. Combined with Gust of Wind, you
can move a damage counter onto a 40hp pokemon, then
GoW it out and use Dark Mind for an easy prize. Dark
Mind is a very good attack. For three psychic energys,
you can do 30 damage (or 60, if the pokemon has a
weekness to psychic) to the defending pokemon and 10
damage to a benched pokemon, for a total of 40 (or 70)
damage. Its evolves are good too-Gastly (Fossil, base
sucks) has 50HP, no weekness, a resistance to
fighting, a first turn attack with a chance of
paralyzing, and no retreat cost. The downside of
Haunter is the fact that it only has 50hp, (Fossil,
I'll talk about Base in a second) but its pokemon
power might keep this pokemon from being attacked.
Nightmare deals 10 damage and puts the defending
pokemon to sleep. Plus it has no retreat cost and no
weekness. Base set Gastly just plane sucks, a coin
flip to see if the defending pokemon is asleep and a
second attack (You can chose not to attack, and it
requieres loseing one psychic energy) that is just
downright alful. Base set Haunter is a bit better, but
not by much. Its second attack only costs two psychic
energys for 50, but it needs to have the defending
pokemon asleep to use it. Anyway, that's all for now.
