Hey Pojo readers and Pokemaniacs! Here's a special What's on Top?. I'm
going to do What's on top on the Team Rocket and Gym sets. So, here we go!

    Fire:
    1. Blaine's Ninetales: Fire Recovery is just amazing and 50 damage for
two Fire Energies, though you might have to discard one.
    2. Blaine's Rapidash: Fire Mane is pretty good, but Trample is awesome.
Flip heads and you do 40 damage to the opponent and 10 to his/her bench! 70HP
and Free Retreat make it even better.
    3. Blaine's Charmeleon: Great card. Fire Claw and Fire Sweep are very
devastaing attacks.
    4. Brock's Ninetales: Disguise is just a great Pokemon Power. Many weird
decks could built around it.
    5. TR's Moltres: Rebirth makes sure Moltres stays out there and Fire
Walll is cool.
Honorable Mention: Blaine's Charmander, Blaine's Moltres, & Evil Flareon

    Water
    1. Evil Blastoise: Combined with his Base-Set Twin, this guy is nearly
unstoppable.
    2. Evil Gyarados: Freeze Beam is great and Final Beam will take the
opponent down with you, if you have enough Water Energy that is.
    3. Evil Golduck: Super Psy is just great and Third Eye is just broken
(Too Good.) Too bad it relies on Psychic Energy.
    4. Misty's Psyduck: Super Mind allows you either to draw a card, deal 20
damage, or copy an attack! 60HP keeps it out there long enough to use it.
    5. Sabrina's Golduck: Both attacks are pretty powerful. Combine Damage
Shift with Alakzam and put it all on the Defending Pokemon.
Honorable Mention: Evil Wartortle, Evil Psyduck, & Evil Squirtle

    Fighting
    1. TR's Hitmonchan: Dish out 50 damage per turn with Magnum Punch and if
the opponent damages it, use Cross Counter to deal double the damage back.
    2. Giovanni's Machamp: Very Powerful. Hurrican Punch can dish out 120
damage if you lucky and Willpower allows it to make a comeback.
    3. Brock's Primeape: Great Card. Great Violence can deal 60 damage and
Jump Back gets it back when its almost KO'd.
    4. Brock's Dugtrio: Finally a solid Diglett-Dugtrio Evolution. Drill Hole
is great and so is Hide in a Hole.
    5. Brock's Onix: 100HP, Leer, & Rock Throw make this a great wall.
    Honorable Mention: None.

    Electric:
    1. TR's Zapdos: Plasma and Electroburn are just down right broken.
    2. Lt. Surge's Electabuzz: Not as good as its Base-Set Twin, but almost.
Electricity and Discharge were meant for each other.
    3. Evil Jolteon: Very good Pokemon, though I think it should have at
least 60HP.
    4. Lt. Surge's Magneton: Do my eyes deceive me, but do we have a good
Magneton! Mega Shock is awesome and Energy Charge can power it up quickly.
    5. Lt. Surge's Electrode: Power-up Ball is good and so is Shock Bomb is
cool. Could have 10 more HP.
Honorable Mention: Both Lt. Surge's Pikachu

    Grass:
    1. TR's Scyther: It may have a retreat and needs Grass Energy to damage,
but it lives up to the original.
    2.  Erika's Victreebel: Here's a pretty good Victreebel, wish it had Lure
though, but Luring Scent makes up for that.
    3. Erika's Venusaur: Wide Solar Beam is great for damaging the bench and
it does pretty good damage. Growth helps out too.
    4. Erika's Ivysaur: Double Razor Leaf is a great attack and Relaxing
Scent can keep the damage off of Ivysaur and the Bench.
    5. Koga's Beedrill: Nerve Poison might be able Paralyze and Poison and
Super Needle can knockout some Pokemon.
Honorable Mention: Koga's Weedle, Koga's Kakuna, Giovanni's Nidoking,
Erika's Paras, and Erika's Gloom.

    Colorless:
    1. Evil Dragonite: Grabs those Basics you need and the 70-for-three is
good.
    2. Lt. Surge's Fearow: 70HP, two solid attacks, Fight-Resistance, and no
Retreat make this card beautiful.
    3. Brock's Lickitung: A more offensive Lickitung. Toungue Pound is decent
and Slam is good.
    4. Blaine's Tauros: Great card. Total Rush is a great final attack and
Three Tails isn't bad either.
    5. Blaine's Dodrio: Two Energy for a possible 50 and the 70HP makes sure
that it can use it a few times.
Honorable Mention: Evil Porygon, Blaine's Doduo, Koga's Pidgey, and
Koga's Pidgeotto.

    Psychic:
    5. Sabrina's Kadabra: Set it up with Life Down and finish up with a
Psyshot.
    4. Sabrina's Haunter: Nightmare does 10 more damagea and Attack from the
Shadows can damage the Bench.
    3. Sabrina's Alakazam: Mega Burn can deal a whopping 60 damage and
Psylink allows it to use any other Psychic Attacks.
    2. Sabrina's Gengar: Dark Wave keeps those pesky Pokemon Powers at bay
and Shadow Bind makes sure that the opponent doesn't escape.
Drumroll please. Now presenting the greatest Psychic
Pokemon...........................................
..............................................................................
............................................

    1. Team Rocket's Mewtwo: The greatest Psychic Pokemon. Psyburn is
devastating, Change Damage can heal Mewtwo, and Hypnotic Wave can put them to
sleep.
