POKEMON RESEARCH LAB
CINNABAR ISLAND
4-3-00
     {You enter a lab and see many members of Team Rocket ransacking the lab.}
     {Suddenly, a burst of Psychic Energy sends them flying through the air
and a Mewtwo stands in front of you.}
     Mewtwo: Sorry Pojo readers, we are experiencing some Rocket trouble.
     {A man in a lab coat appears.}
     Prof. Wolf: Thanks Mewtwo, I can't believe this all because I downloaded
some of the Team Rocket set cards from their database. As you've probably
guessed, I'm doing this tip on Evil Pokemon from the Team Rocket set. The
PokeDex TCG 2000 is finally back from a little fix-up and I've placed the
information on the TR cards there, so with out further ado, I present these
Evil Pokemon!

     Evil Blastoise
     Rare-Holo
     Water
     70HP
     WW Hydro Cannon: 30+
     Effect: Does 30 damage plus 20 more for each W Energy attached to this
Pokemon, but not used to pay for this attack's Energy cost. you can't add
more than 40 damage in this way.
     WCC Rocket Tackle: 40
     Effect: This Pokemon does 10 damage to itself. Flip a coin. If heads,
during your opponent's next turn, prevent all damage done to this Pokemon.
(Any other effects of attacks still happen.)
     Weakness: Electric
     Retreat: -CC

     Prof. Wolf: This is a great Blastoise. Combine it with its Base-Set twin
and deal 70 damage every turn! The low retreat is just beautiful too!
     Mewtwo: Rocket Tackle is sort of a damage dealing Scrunch, not that its
bad. It will keep the damage off of it from Electabuzz's Thunder Punch, while
it blasts it with a crushing Hydro Cannon Attack next turn or Rocket Tackle
again or Hydro Cannon before that.
      Prof. Wolf: Next Evil Pokemon please.

     Evil Slowbro
     Psychic
     60HP
     Pokemon Power: Fishing
     Effect: This Power is used once when this card is put into play. Choose
up to 3 Basic Pokemon and/or Evolution cards from your discard pile. Show
them to your opponent, and put them into your hand.
     PP Whimsical Attack: 40
     Effect: Flip a coin. If tails, this attack does nothing.
     Weakness: Psychic
     Retreat: -CC

     Prof. Wolf: Wow, Whimsical Attack is great for what it costs, but not
doing damage is a risk.
     Mewtwo: Fishing is an easy way to get back those Pokemon and if you need
to use it again, Devolve it with Mew, if you use it, and get put it back into
play next turn.
     Prof. Wolf: Next please.

     Evil Golduck
     Water
     60HP
     P: Third Eye
     Effect: Discard an Energy card attached to this Pokemon in order to use
this attack. Draw 3 cards.
     PPC Super Psy: 50
     Weakness: Electric
     Retreat: -CC

     Prof. Wolf: Do my eyes deceive me or do we have a solid Psy/Water
Pokemon! Now we can use this with its Fossil-Twin in a Psy/Water Deck based
around them. Third Eye is just a broken attack and the low retreat can get
him away from those pesky Electabuzz.
     Mewtwo: Super Psy is were the real power comes from, blasts most
Basic/Evolving Pokemon into microorganisms.
     Prof. Wolf: Now for the last Evil Pokemon.

     Evil Flareon
     Fire
     50HP
     C Rage: 10+
     Effect: This attack does 10 more damage for each damage counter on this
Pokemon.
     RR Heat Ray: 30+
     Effect: Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 20 more damage and
discard 1 R Energy Card attached to this Pokemon. (If you can't, this attack
does no damage.
     Weakness: Water
     Retreat: -C

     Prof. Wolf: Amazing, though I would have given it at least  60HP, but you
could always use Rage as a sacrificial attack.
     Mewtwo: Heat Ray has a 50% chance of doing 50 damage, but discarding a R
Energy Card. Its still good. Just keep Heat Raying the opponent and, if you
can, Rage them away when Flareon is down to 10HP.
     Prof. Wolf: Well thats all.......
     {An explosion rips through the wall, but Mewtwo puts up a Barrier before
it touches them.}
     {Team Rocket comes pouring out of the hole in the wall, their Poekmon
behind them.}
     Prof. Wolf: Looks like Team Rocket wants to play. Ready Mewtwo?
     {Jb holds up two Poke Balls and Mewtwo smiles.}
     Mewtwo: Of course.
     Prof. Wolf: Charizard, Blastoise, Hydro Pump and Fire Blast!
     {He throws the Poke Balls and Charizard and Blastoise appear, and blast
Team Rocket and their Pokemon with Hydro Pump and Fire Blast.}
     {Mewtwo also sends a ball of crackling Psychic Energy at them.}
     Prof. Wolf: Until next time.....
     Mewtwo & Prof. Wolf: See ya!
