And now, Promo Watch with the Whether Man...

Whether Man: Greetings! Today, we look at Promo Venusaur. Excellent card, or mere weed. We'll soon find out.
Mewtwo: Eaamudo's out sick, so we've decided to let Dragonite fill in for him. Although, how a metalic bird made entirely out of steel can get sick is beyond me.
Whether Man: Let's look at the card:

                                            Venusaur        HP:100
                                Pokemon Power: Solar Power
Once during your turn (before you attack) you may
use this power. Both the active pokemon and the
Defending pokemon are no longer asleep, confused
paralyzed or poisoned. This power can't be used if
this pokemon is asleep, confused, or paralyzed.
                                GGGG:      Mega Drain      40
Remove a number of damage counters from
Venusaur equal to half the amount of damage
done to the Defending Pokemon after applying
weakness and resistance. (Rounded up to the
nearest 10) If Venusaur has fewer damage
counters than that, remove all of them.
Weakness: Fire    Resistance: None   Retreat: 2

Whether Man: Interesting enough. Let's begin the discussion.
Mewtwo: Interesting attack. Not bad. In theory it does do 60 damage, because of the damage relieving ability. However,  I'd prefer the 60 damage attack. 40 damage really isn't much.
Dragonite: It's pokemon power is pretty flashy. It's okay, but not overly good. Erasing any annoying status effects is good, but it's not worth the trouble of getting him out. Nor is it worth building a deck around.
Whether Man: I don't care what you say. You can't use this guy with Vileplume. 2 Stage twos? Definite no!
Mewtwo: Personally I'd prefer the Base set Venusaur. Though neither of the two cards are really great, the base set one is definitely the better of the two. Not like either of them are special.
Whether Man: Hey! I play Venucenter! Watch it!
Mewtwo: Why he's never won a tourney in his life. Chapter One...
Whether Man: All in all, this card's below average. Oh, and I like to say this. NONE OF YOU POSERS ARE THE GRASS KING! I AM THE GRASS KING!  EVERY DECK I  HAVE, AM CURRENTLY, AND WILL EVER PLAY IS GRASS! I AM THE ULTIMATE GRASS PLAYER IN THE CELESTIAL UNIVERSE!
Mewtwo: Are you done?
Whether Man: Yeah, pretty much.
Dragonite: You don't only play grass. You've played mono-lightning before, admit it!
Whether Man: Fine, but I'm still the ultimate grass trainer.
Mewtwo & Dragonite: NO YOU'RE NOT!!!
Whether Man: Okay fine. We're signing off.
