golbat, hmm, not talked about much, I see. Oh well, I'll talk about him
lets look at golbats stats first:
evolves from zubat.
TYPE: PLANT
HP: 60
attacks:
(CCC) wing attack
(PPC) leech life: remove a number of of damage counters from
golbat equal to the damage done to the defending pokemon
(after applying weakness and resistance). If golbat has fewer damage
counters than that, remove all of them
W: Psi
R: fight
lv. 29
uncommon stage one

not to shabby. I see a definite advantage in leech life and wing attack
can do 30 damage by turn 2 if you have a DCE. But the weakness to psi
will hurt you, unless you run against fire decks, which will probably
help more than hurt, as most plants have a weakness to fire. Like take
this example:
you have a mono plant deck with a few venusaurs and a venomoth and a
trusty golbat to even out the weakness. This is assuming that you have
trouble finding muk or nidoking anywhere and this can hold out for you
until you get one. But if you have any plant pokemon that aren't weak to
fire, you might want to throw him in too. golbat is pretty underrated,
his leech life can double as a potion that does 20 damage or could take
more of if the card is weak to plants. so you should power the bat on
the bench and then put him out and let him last a while with his leech
life, and In between that, throw in a wing attack for good damage.
