The last 2 weeks I have written about Tauros and blaines Tauros but now I am going to move on to another great card which I personally think is just as good if not better than blastoise, It is Venusaur.  Venusaur is another one or those darn stage twos that are nearly impossible to get out quickly however unlike Blastoise and charizard there is really no need to get Venusaur out quickly because he is most useful for stalling.  He is better to use than Alakazam if you are using pokecenters to heal damaged chanseys or other high Hp pokemon because if you put one in an all plant deck you can move every single energy to a pokemon that is not damaged and then use Pokemon center and switch all of that energy back.  With alakazam you will usually end up tossing away a few energy.  The power of venusaur also makes him and any other pokemon that are in play less vulnerable to energy removal because you just transfer another energy to him and keep piling on the damage.  Oh yeah and if you are looking for someone to go with Venusaur try using chanseys, Scythers, Pinsirs and maybe a tangela.  you should also use a few switches in a deck like this because it will save energy.  Oh yeah I forgot about Venusaur's awesome attack solarbeam, It does 60 damage for 4 plant energy which can pile up fast with the power and to do 60 damage with a blastoise you would have to have 5 energy on it!  Another thing is that the basic and the stage 1 are pretty good with the venusaur line meaning you don't have to evoleve it from a 30 HP weakling (A.K.A Magikarp or Abra) because bulbasaur has 40 hp and a healing attack.  Ivysaur can automatically poison too!  Thanks for hearing me out,  E-mail comments to jasonb@foxinternet.net
