I was looking through my binder the other night doing some brainwork on my 
newest deck trying to pick out my trainers. I had room for 6 more after the 
usual Bills, Oaks, Energy removals and gusts. But then it struck me. Why not 
use all basic energy? I had no scythers or farfetch'd in this deck, why not 
try it out. I flipped out my 4 double colorless and swapped in 4 more psy 
and 2 more electric. Hmmmm....could work......................
<-----Tourney next day------> Played my new deck against 3 people, won every 
one. Energy Removals had nothing on me, I always had the right energies to 
discard for retreats, and my enemies crumbled. It was a revolutionary 
discovery for me. I still use the DCE's in my decks with fetch'd and scyther 
but for evolution decks and others like them, basic energies are the 
winners.
