This may be a long article, so anyone who hates Hitmonchan, grab a soda and 
read this.  Everyone is tryin to find a counter to Hitmonchan.  I offer you 
Tauros.  I know I know he is weak to fighting but that helps him instead of 
hurts him.  Throw down Tauros with a double colorless and 20 maybe 30 
damage.  Hitmonchan attacks dealing 40.  This hurts tauros making him mad.  
Ramage for the kill dealing 60 to Hitmonchan.  This is a fun cheap way to 
get rid of the pesky Hitmonchan.  Provided you don't get hit with energy 
removal.
Then leave Tauros for dead.  One less Hitmonchan. Your opponent will be 
pissed that he lost a chan to a Uncommon.  Also try Ghastly and Haunter I 
beat down Chipmunk's Hitmonchan with these sucky cards.
