WHY CHARIZARD REALLY SUCKS I dont really see why anybody would use a Charizard in any tournament decks. Sure it kills a pokemon with its attack, but it takes 4 energy cards to use it, and it could only do it once in every 3 turns, that is if you get a lot of energy. Charizard lovers might argue with this and say getting 4 energy is pretty easy, but keep in mind that a lot of decks use energy removals. Chances are, the charizard will only do one fire spin (if any) before it dies. One good thing about Charizard is that it has a whopping 120 HP, but by the time a charizard comes out, the opponent can do enough damage to kill it in 2 or 3 turns, depending on how damaged the charmelon was. Using one firespin isn't enough to win a game. In addition to all of this, you have to get all of the evolution cards in order to get the big lizard in business. It may seem easy with a computer search or Pokemon Trader, but a gust of wind can finish off your hopes by bringing out an energyless charmander/charmeleon, or even the charizard. Even if there is a way to get around all of this, it is near impossible to pull off 6 fire spins. The biggest and most significant weaknesses, are the most common tourney decks out there: Haymaker, Invisible Wall, and Rain Dance. The Charizard can't beat the haymaker, because, it is too fast with its gusts, and especially energy removals. The hitmonchans, scythers and electabuzzes will probably win the game before the charizard can do anything. The invisible wall, is obvious. Mr. Mime can only be hit with 10's and 20's and Firespin is way over that, as well as most fire attacks. And finally the Rain dance, a water deck. Fire's weakness: water. Enough said. This explains exactly why charizard is a disgustingly overrated pokemon and really really sucks. Questions? Comments? please send to bokchoyboy@hotmail.com
