Dear PoJo, Love the site! I'm writing a very simple question today...why is everyone in Delaware obessed with the Original Electrode? Let's look at his stats. Type: Electric Evolution: Stage 1- Evolves from Voltorb Name: Electrode HP: 80 Pokemon Power: BUZZAP! At any time during your turn(before you attack), you may Knock Out Electrode and attach it to one of your other Pokemon. If you do, choose a type of energy. Electrode is now an energy card(instead of a Pokemon) that provides 2 of that type of energy. This power can't be used if Electrode is Asleep, Confused or Paralzyed. Attacks: [EEE] Electric Shock 50- Flip a coin, if tails Electrode does 10 to itself. Number: 101 Alright, at first glance, he is a basic Original Electric Pokemon...he's suicidal. Doing 50 for a chance of 10 is better than most though. Look at his PokePower,he can become an energy card, could be quite good in a pinch. So he's pretty good...if EVERYONE in Delaware wasn't obsessed with his Pokemon power. Alright, let me tell you one case. I'm helping my friend tune his Mono-Grass deck over the phone. He asks me after I say in one of the card spots he should put in a double colorless energy, "Well, shouldn't I just use an Electrode?" Of course I ask why, and he says "Because of Buzzap! Duh!" Now that was just pushing my buttons, which is why I'm writing this. Everyone thinks Electrode is so good because of Buzzap! Well, he's good but putting him into a deck where he'll only be used as energy is just crazy! Alright, he's my last example, someone puts in a Voltorb and an Electrode so they can use Buzzap. Now the odds of either one of them coming into play is 1/30. While you replace those two with Energy, it makes much better use of the space. That is about it, anyone who agrees with me, if any are out there, contact me please...I don't like being alone on an issue. =) -CJ pokefreakazoid@yahoo.com _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
