First of all, I would like to say that Chansey is good card, but why everyone is making such a huge deal over it? Chansey is good for one thing and one thing only: to take hits. It works as a wall or in a damage-trans deck. But is it really better than a Charizard? Chansey is a suicide king, like many of the Electric Pokemon. It can attack twice before it dies, assuming it has less than 40 damage on it already. All the opponent needs to kill it is to send out a wussy Pokemon and have it beat on Chansey until it is forced to use Double-Edge. Chansey can try to stall, but it is a 50% chansey (sorry about the pun). Chansey can do anything until the second turn (assuming no double colorless is used) and can't attack until the forth. Hitmonchan or any fighting guy can deck Chansey before he moves. Against psychic decks, however, Chansey rules, since he can kill everything psychic has out now in on hit, plus he has resistance. You can make a wicked damage-trans deck with him, Alakazam, and many Scoop-Ups. But he really isn't good for much else. Kangaskhan, Snorlax, Onix, and Lickitung are good (and much cheaper) alternatives. I do admire Chansey's retreat of only one. But since he is like a punching bag, he can't be that great. I am much more afraid of a Charizard flaming my guys than a Chansey taking hits from my guys. Andy Horton e-mail your hate mail to: horton@ulink.net
