When I bought my first few packs of the basic set, I was excited to get my greedy hands on some Pokémon cards. That excitement soon wore off when I saw that 2 of my rares out of 15 boosters were Impostor Professor Oaks. I was very upset. "What a WORTHLESS card!" I thought. After playing the game for quite a long time and realizing the importance of strategy, I gave this card a second chance. Guess what... It's actually one of the more useful trainers in the game. Think about one of your methods of winning. Deck your opponent. Make them run out of cards. If your objective is to run your opponent out of cards, what better way to do that than make him draw cards into his hand? If he has one card, two cards, or no cards in his hand and you use Impostor Professor Oak, he's gotta get rid of those and draw 7 more. With a stalling Pokémon out, such as Chansey, along with Alakazam and Pokémon Centers, you have yourself almost a guaranteed but long win. You can even throw in Energy Removals to make it more fun. So, next time you design a deck, think Impostor. He may help you out... Dan Guith greedo1@aol.com The Pokémon Deck Archive Webmaster http://members.aol.com/Greedo1/pokemon/index.html
