This is a preview look at the upcoming Dragonite in the Team Rocket Expansion set. Last time I reviewed and evaled the Fossil Dragonite, and today I will compare the two. Here are the stats for the TR Dragonite and its evil line. Pokemon No.: 147 Type: Colorless Evolution: Basic Name: Dratini Level: 12 HP: 40 Weakness: None Resistance: Psychic -30 Retreat Cost: 1 Attacks: [2] Wrap (10) Flip coin. If heads, then defender is paralyzed. Pokemon No.: 148 Type: Colorless Evolution: Stage 1 - from Dratini Name: Evil Dragonair Level: 28 HP: 60 Weakness: None Resistance: Psychic -30 Retreat Cost: 2 Attacks: Power: Evolving Ray: Use once per turn (before you attack). Search your deck for an evolution card, show it to the opponent, and put it in your hand. Reshuffle. [3] Tail Attack (20+) Flip coin. If heads, then attack does an additional 20 damage. Pokemon No.: 149 Type: Colorless Evolution: Stage 2 - from Dragonair Name: Evil Dragonite Level: 33 HP: 70 Weakness: None Resistance: Fighting -30 Retreat Cost: 2 Attacks: Power: Call Flunkies: When this card comes into play, search your deck for two Basic Pokemon Cards and put them on your bench. Reshuffle. Then you may not use this power as long as Evil Dragonite is in play (even after benching it) [4] Giant Tail (70) Flip coin. If tails, then this attack does nothing. Evil Dragonite comes from weaker stock then the current Dragons, and his crappy 70HP makes an Alakazam look endurant. He also is slower, with retreat cost of two. His attack Giant Tail, while dealing a guaranteed amounted of damage is as unreliable as Slam on the Fossil Dragonite. This Dragonite will make Fossil come quicker for me. His crappy heatlh, unstable attack, and higher retreat cost make him the worse of the two final dragons. Although with each piece of junk comes a jewel and that is the Evil Dragonair. Alright, this is a little off track, but Evil Dragonair just has to be looked at. Although far weaker than his Original counterpart in both HP and attacks, his Pokemon Power makes him the superior card. Evolving Ray allows you search you deck for any evolution and add it to your hand...good by Pokeball, Pokemon Trader, and in some cases Computer Search. This is just a small tidbit of how all decks will be destroyed and rebuild in the coming months with the release of Fossil the TR. -CJ pokefreakazoid@yahoo.com Current Decks: Tidal Surge Turbo v1.05; 36-5 and Power Surge; 10-3 _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
