Dear Pojo, I've become quite an avid reader of your site and love it. During my surfing of the Single Card Evals. I came across that "Golem: The Future of Fighting" article, which got me researching my obsession in Fossil, Dragonite. Here are his stats. Pokemon No.: 149 Type: Colorless Evolution: Stage 2 - from Dragonair Name: Dragonite Level: 45 HP: 100 Weakness: None Resistance: Fighting -30 Retreat Cost: 1 Attacks: Power: Rush to Aid: Use from the bench, and once per turn only. Switch your Active Pokemon with this one. This power may not be used if this card is Asleep, Confused or Paralyzed. [4] Slam (40x) Flip 2 coins. Does 40 damage times the number of heads. First off let's look at his attack. For four colorless energy you can use a supercharged attack from the Dragonair stage. With the capability to do 80 damage it is quite potent...but the chance of doing 0 damage also makes slam and all fliped-coin attacks doubled edged. Alright, so I wouldn't have chosen Slam as his attack, it would have been cooler if his attack was something like "Hyper Beam, 40 damage, if your opponent has any energy cards attached to the defending Pokemon, choose up to two to discard". Still Slam is an OK attack. Next up is the Pokemon Power. Again, it is average. Could in a pinch though provide an escape route for something that has been hit by an energy removal or is asleep or paralzyed. Dragonite also has the all powerful resistence to fighting. This could screw everyone up who's using Dragonair as psychic shield. Still this could open up new uses for the dragons in other decks where would not be considered. Now the big question...will he be worth the wait? To die hard lovers of Dragonite(The Game version mind you) of course he will be. In the cards however he will be of some use, but not as much I would have hoped. His variable attack and being a 2-Stage evolution put him at a disadvantage. Although his resistence and cheap retreat cost of 1 energy come close to making up for his faults....so, will you be able to stand the wait?
