An article about a crappy common card. What must I be thinking? Well, I AM thinking with a clear head. While running my site, The Pokémon Deck Archive, I've given out a LOT of deck advice. A common problem I run into... not everyone has 4 Computer Searches to put in their deck because they are rare. Most people I suggest them to only have one or two. The new substitution for Computer Search that I'll be recommending is the Poké Ball. Let's look over the Poké Ball. You get a 50-50 chance of getting any Pokémon out of your deck. It's a common and easy to find card. Now, when I use a Computer Search, it's most likely used for finding a much needed evolution. The Poké Ball can do this without having to discard anything from your hand. It may only have a 50-50 chance of getting what you want, but this is made up for by having no cost like the Computer Search does. I'm not saying the Poké Ball is the new up and coming replacement for Computer Search, but if you run a deck with stage 2 evolutions and don't have enough Computer Searches to play with, consider the Poké Ball. It may help you out more than you think. Dan Guith greedo1@aol.com The Pokémon Deck Archive Webmaster http://members.aol.com/Greedo1/pokemon/index.html
